Sorry on the rubber thickness of Tackifire Special. I was just eyeballing it. When I actually went back checked for precision, I saw that was really 2.1.

I'm still going to have to disagree with you on the "top performance" durability distinction between Chinese and Euro/Jap rubbers.

I'm one of those guys who'll sponge a dirty rubber off after play ... and that's about it. I start out with protective sheets and then abandon them after a while because they annoy me. So for me, the intense stickiness wears off pretty fast. Fine with me. All that sticky crap just attracts dust. After a couple weeks of this abuse, we get down to the Collins quality of rubber -- a little nasty, a little dull, but just about as spinny as brand new. At least with the rubbers I specifically mentioned. I'll even add PF4-1 to that list. I'm damn glad when it's not so tacky, and it plays just fine either way.

So what I'm wondering is what Chinese rubbers are you talking about that seem to deteriorate so quickly from their "top performance" level of play?
