Test rubbers from friends. Buying from reviews could be tricky (including from this one). 729 Faster/Carbon Composite is an excellent choice for under $40. So could be . My son also owns a cheap DHS, signs are gone on the paddle. DHS rubbers tend to last longer, I think the racked has 555 rubbers. I use these cheap ones when injured and they give me a pretty decent control for spins, chops and blocks. Sanwai carbon could also be a choice, so LKT Instint. Try before buying. Good luck.
