I don't know about Mendo. I have aggressive style of playing. I use Magna 2.2 and 2.0 mm. I found it very spinny but tough to control. Control is also related to my not having played for 13 years. I just started about 2 months ago. I like the rubber but I think I would have to go with 1.8 or 1.5 mm to improve control.
If you have attacking style this is a very good rubber. As far as spin control, you will face that issue with any plain faced rubber(except anti-spin), only pimpled rubber will have reduced affect of spin.
