gcollins, from what I can gather from your post, you're thinking that the MPS (as opposed to the MP) is too fast, stiff and heavier for good chopping? I wouldn't know about that since my MPS has not arrived yet. However, I've been chopping with my Timo Boll Spirit, purportedly an attacking blade, and I can say that it's one heck of a attacking-chopping platform. As for the weight, I actually think the TBS is a bit too light for chopping duty. This is because my bh RITC 755 sheet's thin sponge really takes away lots of the needed weight. This is why I look forward to the heavier weight of the MPS as a well intended and positive feature. |
