Tried the the battle 2 2.1mm 39 degree orange sponge for the first time. Placed it on the 2026 Sanwei P20D-FL 5+2 outer LD carbon stiff blade. Speed is really fast with a very high spin, though the throw angle of this rubber is low-medium. trajectory for power drive is more direct and very straight which sometimes it will out of bounce. Coming from DHS G888 2.1mm 40 degree rubber on forehand, this rubber has a medium arc trajectory which is better in flat drive than the battle II. Needs to adjust the angle of the racket everytime I make a flat drive to eliminate out of bounce shots. Top spin is excellent in the battle II because of its low-medium throw, paired with a stiff fast blade makes a very fast, very spinny attack which is hard to counter. The feel of this rubber is crisp and hard on a fast blade which is i'm not yet very familiar. Needs more time getting used to it. The Battle II is better suited for aggressive FH topspin and aggreessive play on a stiff carbon blade. Nevertheless, It's a very excellent FH rubber. Will keep this rubber for a long time and master it.

A fantastic rubber that can be played in a very controlled way.

Good to match FH with lots of blade types: KTS Carbon , Sword Alcan 7, DHS Pg7, Stiga Clipper Wood,Andro Timber7
Overall reasonable price FH rubber.

Use B2 now with 1,5mm sponge from german shop mostly on backhand. Must say that i booster this version to get best performance. As elder player I prefer more control and try to play short rallies. That works with thin boostered B2. Power and speed is more than sufficient. Service quality is extraordinary and brings a lot of points. Tested also other B2 versions (national, provincial) but i'm not able to manage thick sponge. Test now for forehand B2 red and Bloom Power in 1,8mm. Still take some time to come to a final conclusion.

I use it with a 2.0 sponge on the FH. This rubber is fantastic for brushing. Its surface is tacky and designed to generate spin. This is the commercial version and therefore the most basic one (compared to the provincial or national one), however, it responds very well when looking for spin and for chopping. Its blocking is also good. It's clearly not a very fast rubber, but not slow either. Ideal for getting started in the world of Chinese rubbers. You have to keep in mind that it has no tensor or catapult effect, so you have to improve your technique or the ball will go into the net.

The rubber is waaaay better in play than people say. Much faster and spinnier than others say. Great control my favorite fh rubber

This rubber needs 5-10 hours of warm up, then it came alive..spin, flicks, loops are easy , but you lost a bit of power. I think it's better to be put on carbon blade to compensate the power loss.

I use 4-5 sheets H47 since 1,5 years, tried boosted(rev3xtremebooster). Boost makes the throw angle much higher and the sponge livelier so it is good for backhand too.
I wanted to play with tensior rubbers (mx-s) because its faster on small wrist move counters and blocks, but i had problems countering spinny opening loops when i was late. B2 just grabs the ball and you can counterloop anything. Rakza Z EH is the similar but with fewer gears. With B2 the loopkills against backspin and the top speed is insane even with donic appelgren allplay blade, much higher than mxs and rakzaZEH. Now i use it unboosted, throw is very low, trajectory is low, you need more upward motion against backspin. Every sheet has the same tackyness after 1,5 years, topsheet very durable, 157x150 is 47g. My primary blade is waldner WC89 B2 and fastarc c1.

This rubber is really good compared to other Chinese hard sponges (hurricane 3 neo 40 degrees) if you have played with both euro and Chinese type rubbers. The feeling of where the ball bounces on your blade is much higher than hurricane 40 degrees due to the sponge being slightly softer. It's not super bouncy like euro types, but what it gives is the range of low power and high power. Very good for controlling the point if you like to change up the speed and pace to throw your opponent off. Serves are great, since the catapult is not super high, and the spin is still really high. Would recommend 1 layer of baby oil or mineral oil on a outer layer ALC butterfly blade. It's my favorite at the moment. Since the feeling of ball increased so has my consistency and confidence in wanting to open-up for power shots. To compare, this version is the 39 degrees orange that I used. I have used 40 degrees B2 blue sponge, however, it's too fast for me and almost has no feeling due to the hardness. I've purchased the 39 B2 degree blue sponge in hopes that it will feel better.

I started playing with this rubber over a year ago. Ones I was used to it, I loved it so much. My first two sheets lasted very long and the tackiness lasted long. (bought in China). Now shipment from China is more difficult so ordered new sheets in Germany. I got 4 sheets (also bleu sponge). None of them are tacky, they pick up the ball for less than a second. My old sheets picked them up for 15-20 seconds. Without the tackiness, producing spin is very difficult. This makes it hard for me to make a correct review. It's like I have two different rubbers to review.

I really like this rubber. It's up there in spin/control as H3N, but its faster. Slower than Big Dipper, but spinnier. Very similar to Bloom Power.

This has everything you need for a powerful and spinny FH looping rubber.

Fantastic rubbers. I have played this rubber for long time. FH rubbers! BATTLE 2 NORMAL VERSION. If u use chinese style that u always brush the ball and this rubber is your deadly weapon. The hard sponge and the tacky topsheet makes the ball of your spin keep having lower arc than any rubber even DHS most rubbers. I love this. The control is unbelievabl, so high class, u can do push, chop, very confidently due to its much dwell time. If ur used to buy chinese rubbers, i recommend you to buy this more due to its durability while DHS rubbers always has problem with the tospheet that can detach from the sponge easily after many uses. Low price, high quality. Full stroke players only, such Chinese Top Players.

I tunned this rubber and it is slower than Neo H3 tunned but maybe is for the hardness. my battle 2 has 49 degree that i think that is harder than H3 39 DHS scale. Maybe it similar to 41 for DHS. I dont recomend 49 at least you have a good technique and you have a hard surface blade. If you have a soft surface blade and the version hardness 49, it need tune.
I prefer more flexibility, hardness 45.
Battle 2 is the most tackyness than i tested. Great rotation spin, great for backspin and services. Good control. Average spin if not tuned. i tuned it.

What I like of this rubber is very forgiving and lots of control ( boosted). Lifting backspins are very controlled and spinny. Counter looping and counter topspinning so much easy and powerful. Very cheap. The best forehand for me so far. You might dislike it coz of your poor skills.

I went through three sheets, all black. Two of them are 45-degree and one 47-degree hardness. The sponge is more lively than Hurricane 3 Neo (H3N). The top sheet feels softer and lets you wrap the ball better when looping. It plays like a dream when new. After 2 weeks when the tackiness on the sweet spot is worn out, it can be inconsistent depending on where the ball contacts the rubber. I feel it is more suitable for the forehand. They weigh 48g after cut which is comparable to H3N. Overall, it plays better than H3N but it is less durable.

Good forehand rubber for brush looping. Not the same kick as you get from DHS Hurricane NEO series or Yinhe Big Dipper. Weight cut, 2.1mm: 52g

I play 49 degrees version on Primorac blade. Played with tenergies in the past and switch to this rubber. Now, there is no way I will go back. My consistency improved a lot and overall forehand technique too since the rubber forces me to make a proper footwork and strokes. Easy to generate slow spin close to the table and a loop from several meters away. Dynamic range of speeds I can produce is amazing making it easier to do an accurate placement. When I attack fast there is always a feeling that a ball can go even faster if I hit it harder. Drop shots are nice since if you don't apply power the rubber does not produce it for your making the ball dead, surprising you opponent.

Very sticky rubber, but stickiness remains. At least if you clean it on regular basis.

Speed - if you hit harder it goes harder as simple as that.
Spin - A lot of spin if you do a proper stroke
Control - I consider the ruber to be very controllable since it is not a tensor. A ball does not jump far away if it is slow. But as a ball speed increases it starts to jumps faster. With a little dwell time there will be less time to handle the ball.

Overall the best rubber for 20$

Black, 2.0, un-boosted, used on FH of a Stiga All-round Classic. A hard, tacky rubber that produces very good spin. The hardness took some getting used to, in the end I ended up not liking this hardness, for me it was too hard. To my surprise, the speed was very good, especially when weight transfer and timing was on-point. I would recommend Battle 2 if you're looking for a top quality Chinese rubber with great value for money.

Great rubber with very respectable speed and great spin. Using red 2.1mm as a FH rubber and am very happy with it. The tackiness has remained pretty much the same after about 4 months of playing 7-8 hours a week. Pairs well with my OFF blade but you'd better have good technique because it is pacier than most Chinese rubbers and is noticeably faster than my 729-08 black 2.1mm. Has been great for my spin offensive forehand and I highly recommend this rubber!

Strong rubber for looping and counter looping. Need more effort and body movement against backspin. Great speed in rally, quite bouncy when blocking. Nice attacking rubber. Probably the best rubber of 729 so far...

For $15.- this rubber is a definite steal if you possess both a fast carbon blade and a tub of booster.
The rubber is very tacky at the beginning of its lifespan, which scared me a little at first as I expected it to be
incredibly slow. To my surprise it was decently fast but without catapult. This meant I could use most of my power and create insanely loaded low arcing topspins with a huge kick with about 75% of the effort I would need with H3N. The only pitfall this rubber has is the same that all tacky rubbers have; you need to stay agressive and well positioned to get the most out of this rubber.

It is less tacky compare with 729-08 ES, but the speed is faster and has more power, which is more suitable for the new abs 40+ poly ball. It has a lot of control, if you use DHS H3, it is very easy for you to get use to it. It is ideal when you are active using your own power instead of rely on the power of sponge fully. The blue sponge version is even better in terms of power & speed, especially when you applied oil-based boaster to it.

I don't have enough words to describe this beauty. It is a dream come true for a flat hitter .. a smasher.. a destroyer.. a player who takes no nonsense.. a player who attacks spins.. loops and even hard smashes .. counter-punching and destroying the opponents. This is rubber for a player with violent destructive mindset that can't be tamed or trained. An uncontrollable beast waiting to be unleashed.
After 4-5 hours of play, extreme tackiness wears off a bit. It's then when rubber comes alive. An insane Chinese dragon awakes from a deep slumber...
So if you are a street cat, a raw fighter.. a tt club geek with a nasty attitude.. who wants to destroy all club players.........
This Rubber was Made for you!!!!

To the 729 Friendship and happiness... Burn your T-energy...
Go get this $20 chinese rubber for your Iron plated nuclear rated forehand. You'll never play with german or japanese rubbers ever again. It's my Guarantee!!

I have H47 for BH and H49 for FH on Sanwei Dynamo. BH-H47 feels great in looping, smashing, and blocking. I had some trouble chopping the strong back spin but it was okay after I made some adjustment. I have poor FH technique so the H49 does not feel as good, but felt that H49 might be too hard for me. I turned the paddle and used H47 for FH and it got better but BH started struggle a little bit.

Use to play H3 Neo for $120, now I play with the battle 2, for 1/6 of the price, and do at least the same, if not better, after some adjustments, of course.

Battle 2 is a wannabe NEO Skyline TG2, but with less speed and spin. It has the same tackiness and throw angle. It has the same advantages in the close table game and disadvantages away from table. There is just one significant difference. Battle comes in 45, 47, and 49 degree, which is softer than TG2, which is over 50 degree. So if you liked TG2 but it was too hard for you, maybe this will make you happy. There is also provincial Battle 2, which has same hardness as TG2. But that one is much more expensive than TG2, so why bother?

Simply amaxing! Deadly spin! Very fast with the right stroke and technique + right blade. Good combination is viscaria, spirit and I myself play with the dhs king 3. Last at least 2-3 times longer than tenergy 05 and gives much more spin.

Blade zjk ALC, my FH for a past 1-2 year i came from H3 Neo prov 40deg, Tenergy 05, Victas 15 extra.. i change tacky to grippy rubber because i felt its tired me so much even i like it a lot, reading a lot a good review for this rubber my liking for tacky rubber make me want to try this rubber, consider its cheap compared my previous rubber, why not i give it a try.. On my 1st day trial..
BOOM! i beat 2 guys in my club who never ever i can beat.. at least for last 1 year
My Impression is this rubber its good for FH, just like H3 neo, still you have to full swing correctly to release out the potential.. but not more demanding like H3 Neo, more speed than h3 neo prov, spin a slightly lower than h3 neo prov, but you still can make a heavy serve spin with this rubber.. i think i gonna stay with this rubber for a long time, want to try the provincial version hope its more enjoyable than the commercial on i have

Best most sticky chinese rubber but also fast!
Stickiness makes it easy to control in close slice and to serve it is so easy! the stickiness keeps the ball on the rubber a brief moment longer and spin is strong!

But sometimes you buy and it is a bit less sticky or a bit more sticky but always very sticky and gets more sticky if you let the rubber rest with covering for a week, good as new even after long use

This is the best rubber for hard blades ,rubber has great tackiness and control u can place the ball exactly where u want,I can easily manage this on back hand where it is a monster.Excellent for polyballs.I put it on yasaka carbonmax 3d and was easily able to loop and topspin and block at ease.great net play. This is a notch harder than h3neo and also i would recommend this rubber for people who want h3neo national as this rubber is cheap around 19 dollars with same effect.Rubber quality is great and the pimple size slightly larger than tenergy 05 so high angle so close to table play needs adjustment. With hard blade rubber sinks into hard sponge with great catapult effect on counter topspin. Serves are excellent especially if you hide the backspin. This is the best chinese rubber i have played with and i am sticking with it. A cut sheet 2.1 mm weighs 42 to 43 gm and also this rubber comes in at 45 47 49 hardness i am trying to find the 45 and the 49 hardness unable to get it currently. If i get it then will stick with 49 on FH and 47 on BH. I think i am done with expensive rubbers.Prerequisites for using this rubber u need strong shoulders and body action to get the rubber in active play.It pays off a lot in rallies and infact in all my rallies with my opponents i was able to win 8 out of 10 points.I can easily handle this rubber on my BH as i used H3neo on BH and Skyline 3 neo on FH.
After 2 months of playing with this hands down this is the best chinese rubber i have played with.great at loops, counter topspin,no need of boosting after 2 weeks the sponge breaks in and the rubber lasts longer. This is my forehand rubber.I heard this rubber is being discontinued 729 needs to make this rubber slightly light and nothing else with better advertisement. My current set up is rakza 7 on BH and battle 2 on Forehand with YEO Power 7.Once Rakza 7 wears off will get battle 1 on the BH.

Bat - Galaxy W-6
Playing this on my FH

This rubber generates quite a bit of spin, and there was a noticeable difference in the way it comes off my regular playing partners' bats. Lots of balls going off the table to the sides...and not by a little bit, sometimes feet due to the amount of spin. Very good control, and it has some very nice gears. When playing close to the table, you have to give it a little effort, but when smashing or looping, it really goes. When I miss a shot, it doesn't miss by much and it's usually due to my poor aim. I'm still getting used to it, only having played this rubber about and hour. Very nice all around rubber and for the price, I'd highly recommend it.

UPDATE:
This rubber is the best and trendiest Chinese rubber I have ever used on forehand. Power loop monster. Absolutely monstrous for the plastic ball with Falco Long Term Booster for full fledged power looping shots. National version blue sponge is probably somewhat faster than the Commercial one. Orange sponge commercial can be boosted (3-4 layers Falco wait for more than one week) into a very fast kick sponge type of rubber, similar to tensors actually if you get it right.

Boosted on a fast blade (carbon or wood type depends on playing style) probably the best 729 rubber for the plastic ball era. kourosz' review is very accurate and thorough, although I find the flat hit smashes very fast when boosted and feel no speed limit disadvantage in this respect. Battle 2 is surprisingly light considering its sponge density. I had some fears it would be as heavy as 729-08 or DHS Hurricane NEO 2, but I was totally wrong, This is an advantage for most players. Battle 2 is e.g. much lighter and way better in all respects than 729-08 and likely 729-08 es too. Battle 2 requires full commitment and determination of all shots, but then you get much reward. Battle 2 will keep the same characteristics if I protected in thin plastic and if the surface is cleaned very often with a clean new kitchen wipe sponge just used for that purpose. The rubber is a favorite due to its overall character of adaption to poly balls, low price -->change often, nice cunning and diving loops, nasty kicks on slow loops, fast enough overall, huge back spin possible on e.g. serves which gives many "easy" points. Battle 2 is very enjoyable and a great if you like Chinese polyball era rubbers.

This is my first try of Battle II, so I need more time to conclude, but in overall this is a very good rubber. I should mention that I'm a top grade player in my state. Recently, I decided to change my equipment from Euro/Japanese rubbers to Chinese because of new plastic balls. So, I have tested many Chinese tacky rubbers from different companies even the National versions. At the end, I found this rubber as my No 1 choice and DHS Hurricane 8 as No 2.
I'm using a Stiga Infinity VPS blade and I haven't tested the rubber on other blades.
Grip/Tackiness: High
Forehand loop on topspin: Very consistent. You can hardly miss.
Forehand loop against backspin: Very Easy. This is the best rubber I have ever tried. In practice, I had only 5 mistakes out of 100 in a row.
Serve: Again the best rubber in my opinion. Short serves can be produced with huge spin.
Return of Serve: Very good. Hurricane 8 is slightly better.
Speed: It's not a super fast rubber, but reasonable. If you are an offensive player, you'll have no problem. It's obviously faster than Hurricane 8 and most of Euro/Japanese rubbers when looping.
Look: Quite impressive for a $20 rubber. The characteristics still the same as the first day after 3 weeks. I guess it will last for another 3 weeks at least.
Production quality: I found an inconsistency in the top edge of the rubber after cut. I believe it's because of vacuum and packaging. Hopefully the next ones won't have this problem.

I'm using this rubber without any booster. I guess it will be even better in this case.
I recommend it to all offensive loopers.

Conclusion: One of the best rubbers for forehand and offensive players. Very consistent and forgiving. The only downside is when you smash or send a strong fast loop. I know this is because of the change from Euro rubbers. Now, I'm more comfortable in comparison to 3 weeks ago. Except from this issue, Battle II is a fantastic rubber and I'm enjoying table tennis more than the past.
