Tested for about a month on a Butterfly Harimoto ALC (inner ALC, limba), 2.0 mm, backhand. Also briefly on a Nittaku Acoustic Carbon Inner.
Blastac is Nittaku's calmer sibling to Hammond Z2. Probably made in the same Japanese factory and that's the easiest way to describe it: Z2's two-stage character (soft and low in blocks, lively when you swing through) in a more controlled package. The sponge feels slightly soft but tight, so it doesn't go mushy on softer contact, and the sheet is light.
Where it shines: blocks, counters and the "easy" backhand game close to the table. On an inner-carbon blade with some hold it is far more predictable than Fastarc G-1, the ball goes where you point it, with no surprise catapult. On a very stiff outer-carbon blade I'd expect it to lose some of that calm, and on very soft all-wood blades the low-power register can feel dead.
Where it doesn't: absolute spin and top-end speed. It opens underspin fine, but heavy loops are not its game, it is a control rubber with a top, not a power rubber with control.
Best for: near-table players, backhand control, anyone who finds Z2 or modern hybrids a bit too much. On the right blade it's one of the easiest advanced rubbers I've used, and it's cheap.

Very nice top sheet.A good rubber for BH & FH. Has some spring to it because of the Carbon sponge. When using it on my FH the throw is very low but still has some good speed on the ball, very good for pushing.BH is also just as fast and forgiving. Using this on my ALC side for my AZXi pro for now. There is no tac on the rubber.
