I actually only bought this rubber (with 48 degree sponge) because I was offered it used (...but absolutely new!) for a very good price and it is very light. - and that is where the big surprise began!!! My red rubber (with 48 degree sponge) weighs only 39 grams at 1.7 mm. (156 x 149 mm) ... but at this thickness it is a little slow and so only suitable for the BH. - but I still really enjoyed it. It is extremely controlled, very spin-friendly and yet insensitive to incoming rotation. ... I would even say that its rotation level is at the top end. AND: the reviews for speed are to low !!! ... and I also find the ball flight curve to be higher than it is generally rated. A good friend of mine, who needs very light material due to a physical limitation, so I let him test my rubber on his blade, on the FH side. He was also impressed, but we both agreed that the thickness should be 1.9 mm. ... so I bought 2 rubbers in black and red with 1,9 mm at the next shop ! :-D) Facts: black rubber, 1.9 mm, 85.2 g. in original packaging, uncut 61.2 g. and cut to 154 x 151 mm only 41 g. Red rubber, 87 g. in original packaging, uncut, 62 g. I play it, glued with solvent-based glue, on my XVT ZL Koto. - as I already wrote, this rubber is perfect for my backhand. On my forehand, I prefer rubbers with a hardness of over 50 degrees, as well as the maximum possible rotation!!! :-P In terms of sponge hardness and weight, this rubber is very similar to the Victas V-11 Extra, except that the eFT 48 plays more directly and is not as spongy as the Victas. Conclusion: in my opinion, this rubber is truly underrated and has received far too little attention. ... so give him a try! Addendum: this rubber is not sticky and can not hold the ball !!! - but can grab the ball very well to generate a lot of spin.

Not a spin or speed monster, but high level of control. Red sheet has a bit lower throw and a bit more spin. Blocks and pushes are very easy and safe. Serves are not loaded with lots of spin. Under or top spin does not bother opponent.
great allround/offensive rubber, very good spin and control, in a slow blade it could be good for a modern defense
I love so much GEWO, but 9.5 in control is too much! And in the other side, 7.4 in speed and the low gears are too low. All these numbers are far from the comparative characteristics numbers of the other backsides released by this same manufacturer ! So I voluntarily very changed these numbers (exaggerating with a very high speed and very gears, and lower control and even lower spin), to restore " if possible " a realistic average and more objectivity is for the compulsive testers of new backsides..
