Best blade ever...I play for fun with this one because my main style is modern defensive. How do I know it's great? Because it has a great feeling, consistency and accuracy in shots, it has several speeds depending on what you want to do with it. I have tried almost everything that Butterfly has better (I give them for example because they are a standard in this field) but this blade is on another level.

WOW is the adjective. I have many high-end blades from various brands and this one is the TOP!
I've been playing with this blade for about three years now. During this time I tried three different DHS w968 Long 5, and came to the conclusion that the simple version of the W968 for the European market is not worth the money and gives poor control. The best blade in this series must be bought in China, as they make it for the national team players. In particular, Ma Long plays with this excellent blade. There is a series with a gold DHS logo, instead of the image of Ma Long. This is the fastest and most control series W968 that is on the Asian market. I play with exactly this blade, weighing 93 grams. My setup is BH Tenergy 05, Fh DHS National blue sponge Hurricane 3. The blade provides explosive power in attack, and is very stable in blocks and counterspins. I highly recommend purchasing such a blade for those players who want to feel something special and magical in their hands. But this blade is not for beginners, firstly, it is expensive, the price is around $1000. Secondly, it is fast, and you need to learn to cope with it. Strong ball rotation and speed are the motto of this blade.
This is one of the best blades for sure. But is it really a 10/10 blade? No blade is. This blade requires good fundamental techniques. And a problem for this blade is the price is ridiculously high and it is hard to buy authentic ones. Its supposed to be made for china national players only. For usatt 2000 and below players, a dhs pg7 might let you play better. I intentionally give a lower rating to it to subdue the hype on this blade. I think its a 9.6/10 blade. I will modify my rating in the future. Updated 10/04/2022 using t05/t05fx make the w968 an excellent blade, great for short touch and powerful from middle away from table. If you use hurricane rubbers , make sure to boost them well.
Exceptional blade, but quite expensive, like a handmade piece of furniture. DHS used the best pieces of wood from each tree in it's production. I like the narrow throat, and handle overall. Excellent control, and enough power to overcome slower rubber (Max H3 National, & 09C). The slower, hard sponges help me control opponent's hard shots close to the table. My game emphasizes looping, blocking, and pushing, which the blade does well. I don't recommend the blade for flatter hitters & smashers.
the best blade here, you have all+ and off++ at the same time you can overspin your opponent, you can block opponent very easily like he didn't use all arm to put spin on ball like nothing but it won't match with soft rubbers
This review is a comparison of the w968 compared to Hurricane long 5 commercial.
The W968 long5 initially feels completely different from commercial long 5, the handle is larger/thicker and immediately from the first stroke you will notice what is perceived as a much slower blade compared to HL5, it feels softer and has more flex, the vibration or feel is more in the head than the handle compared to HL5 so your feeling the touch of the ball rather than just vibration in hand. The slowness is in fact control which is due to the huge amount of gears this blade has, The w968 has say 30 gears 1-30 the HL5 20 gears 5-25 so the w968 1-5 lower gears makes it feel slower but when activating the gears 25-30 makes it also faster/more powerful, when you realise this it makes sense, and why a blade can be faster and slower at the same time, this then shows in the huge amount of overall control you get with the W968.
