I had a friend who raved about it so I bought one. I was playing with an Apolonia with D05 on both sides. I’ve used Viscaria and TB ALC also with 09C on forehand. On this New Era blade I put J2 on forehand and FastArc C on backhand both 2.0 mm. It’s better than I had hoped. The new setup is about 182g about 5g lighter than my Apolonia. This weight is ideal for me. I have way more control and about the same power. My backspin loop on forehand is way better. I can feel the ball much better with this blade. The FastArc C is very grippy and backhand open ups and counter hitting loops is easy. Viscaria is too fast for me. Apolonia is more for power players in my opinion. Basically, I have way more control of every shot and the same put away power. I am rated 1000 in a tough Bay Area league. I win more, rally better, and am improving faster with this blade. Plus I realize I don’t need expensive butterfly rubbers. This is a fantastic blade for anyone under 1800 I would say.

Greetings- well,caught the EJ virus (again) and bought one. 85 gm, GoldArc 9 (38*) and Domination Speed 2 (which
feels about 45* ESN hardness). Have had 2 sessions with it so far.This is a very nice blade, but not really
innovative despite the fact it has a "new" and different composite fibre. It is a high perfomance,modern
blade aimed at the experienced offensive player, and it fulfills it's intended function very well, but does not
stand out amongst it's peers. My impression/rating of it's hardness/stiffness would be 6/10, so the feeling
is slightly hard with some (but not much) flex.It is fairly direct without feeling harsh, and the sensation of
ball on blade comes through clearly. Blade is solid and stable so blocking is easy.Loops and topspins well, but I wouldn't
consider this a dedicated looping blade,more of an offensive blade for all strokes.
So, although I was impressed by the Donic New Era and it has my recommendation,it is just another
very good blade in a market crowded with very good blades.
