Donic's New Impuls blades have a very special feel like no other blade I know. Due to the special glueing process there's virtually no vibration. The wood itself is quite stiff for an All+ wood due to the thickness of the blade, it's got a soft touch and good dwell time though because of the outer spruce veneer. I think it's combined best with harder rubbers, I wouldn't play it below 45 ESN. It's got a medium to high bounce and supports a Topspin based playing style.
Straight handle is suited for big hands (103mm ling, 30mm wide, 22,5mm high, 90mm circumference).
Build quality is top-notch.
High control, medium speed but paired with the right rubber, active play and a good technique it's also easy to hit direct winners.

I was looking for the blade with HIGHEST control (except Defensive blades, see below) because my technique is weak, so I needed MAX dwell time for smoothing my mistakes and also reasonable learning w/o the coach.
I was lucky to trust Donic's stats and bought New Impulse 6.5 (now I have three of them).
High control and acceptable speed, no vibrations, very soft feel immediately amazed me.
I have tried many other blades before and after, and ALL of them I dislike due to MUCH LESS control VS this blade: EU Primorac, Nittaku Acoustic, Appelgren Allplay Senso V2, TSP Balsa 4.5 ALL and even Donic Defplay Classic Senso V3, the last turned out not only less-controllable, but also even substantially faster than New Impuls 6.5.
This blade is not for everyone, but if you love his majesty - CONTROL, and you need a speed margin for active play, while you dislike vibrations and like soft feeling of the contact - this blade is for You.
Highly recommended!!!

Exceptional blade for allrounder. Enough speed, amazing feel and touch, perfect control. Awesome finish quality. Previously played with Ligna All, it was bit too stiff with Tenergy Hard on FH, thus troublesome in short game and receive. Impuls 6.5 softens the rubber feel substantially, adding control with minimum speed loss. In result, you keep enough power and speed when matching with hard rubber, in return you get unequalled control. Short game in very precise, as well as serve receive. If you look for dynamic and fast blade, look elsewhere. If your target is controlled play, both close to the table and in 2 - 3 zone, probably there is no better choice. This blade in unique and saying this I admit it after I tried many all/all + blades (10 + in my collection). Feels somewhat like bit muted Niitaku Violin with more gears or softer and bit slower Donic Appelgren WC 89, with but more flex and control. Speed and control ratio (7/10) given by DONIC is precise. Highly recommended.
