Summary

Pros

  • Rozena table tennis rubber is highly controllable and versatile, performing well in various aspects such as serving, flicking serves, topspinning pushes, and blocking. It's a great choice for intermediate players looking to improve their game.
  • The rubber is less sensitive to incoming spin, making it more forgiving and easier to use in short games. It provides a good balance of speed and spin, making it an excellent choice for players who utilize blocking, control, and placement.
  • Rozena rubber is lighter than most modern rubbers, making it comfortable to use. It's also reasonably priced, making it a great choice for players on a budget. It's particularly effective when used with medium-speed solid wood blades.

Cons

  • Some players found the rubber too fast and hard to control when used with a super fast carbon blade. It may not be suitable for casual players due to its speed.
  • The rubber's performance tends to decline quickly as it wears down, particularly in terms of spin. This may require frequent replacement, which could be a disadvantage for some players.
  • While Rozena rubber is good for developing players, it may not be the best choice for highly skilled players who rely heavily on spin. It's also noted to be less spin-sensitive and spin-producing compared to other rubbers, which could be a drawback for some players.

I love my new rubber. This is my 1st custom paddle.

Detail: Use on both sides with a Clipper WRB FL.
Recommended for beginners and intermediates, it's very easy to spin the ball with it, I've been using it for two months and it hasn't lost any quality, despite it being fragile, so any knock can take out a little piece. It's a slow rubber of mine, it's not recommended for adventurers, I'm going to change the Clipper this week for a Fan Zhendong Alc, maybe now it will be more suitable, but with my current configuration it's very difficult to make even powerful shots, some semi-pros use it in back, but forehand is only for beginners, like me (I've been training for 11 months), I'll only change it when I feel safe.

I used the Rozena on same blade I used both the Nitakku Fastarc G1 and the DHS hurricane 3 Neo.
even if they all where same price(rozena is more expensive than both, DHS super cheap at 25$) I would still place the rozena at the bottom.
The 2 other rubbers simply are better in all ways. better control. speed. spin. overall feel etc.
Even if your a beginner I still wouldn't use it as the control is still better on the other rubbers. Its as simple as that. There are better rubbers for all level players out there for this price.
For those interested I prefer the Nitakku over the DHS.

I am an pretty good armature player. I used Xiom Omega 3 and 4 Euro for few years. I liked the soft gripy top sheet that let me generate spin easily. Can't say the same thing with Rozena. It's top sheet is harder. I need to impart more pressure to make the ball sink into the top sheet. Since it is tensor top sheet, the ball is repelled quickly hence the dwell time is less than what I would like. Control is also less than Xiom rubber. I would learn to use it and few months later change back to Omega VII Euro.

1.9mm weighs 43g cut. Rozena is an excellent backhand rubber when paired with Butterfly ALC blades (I have ZJK ALC). Medium hardness is around 45 degrees ESN. Throw angle is medium, which is perfect for backhand. People say Rozena doesn't have much spin, but my opponents always tell me my backhand drive is very spinny, so it comes down to technique. Of course, it has less spin than Tenergy and Dignics though. Great control, including in short game. This is the perfect backhand rubber for me. The only negative is the durability: topsheet loses grip starting at Month 2, which is similar to German rubbers.

Es una gran goma por su precio. Ayuda al control con buena velocidad. Ideal para revs o para BH si tu nivel es medio o un poco ms. Si buscas mucha velocidad no te la aconsejo. Pero si buscas rotacin y control es muy buena.

Played with Rosena on my Timo boll ALC for more then a year on my BH side. Advertised and spoken by many as a more controllable tenergy alternative. Although it has some similarities with tenergy it doesnt come that close to be honoust. Tenergy has far more gears and catapult effect in it. If you are used to tenergy this feels a bit like a downgrade. If you think tenergy is a tad to fast this offers the control you are looking for. Short game and blocking, spins at table and mid range are a breeze with this one. So its a good rubber in his own class. For intermediate players looking to up there game this rubber is an excellent choice. Starters beware: this is still a fast rubber. When the rubber wears down though the qualities of the rubber fade of quickly, while other rubbers keep the qualities a bit longer even when the wear down starts. Especially spin is dead and opponents will hit through it easily. So be ready to replace it when you feel it wears down.

I used it on my backhand. It was very controllable and did fine at every aspect. As i got better, I felt like this rubber was not allowing me to use my full potential on the backhand. Other rubbers just were much harder for my opponetns to play against.

You can get a better performing rubber for about the same money with an ESN rubber if you shop around. If you do not need a performance rubber and want "safety" and the brand name and want to pay less than Butterflys top of the range rubbers, this be it.

The mighty Rozena. Rose petal soft top sheet and spring sponge similar to T05. Maybe a little softer. Faster than 05 maybe even faster than 80. Plays like an attacking monster. Can hit fast straight shots with less spin but serious speed. Lower throw angle than tenergies with a linear shot direction that barely makes it over the net with power shots. Backhand flicks are easy and fast and counter loops are tremendous. Looping heavy under spin takes a lot of effort for some reason, but when done right, produces exceptional topspin balls that barely make it over the net with serious speed. The rubber urges you to hit hard and flat but it can still loop well. Its not bad at chops either. Its less sensitive to incoming spin than the tenergies. Also its harder to generate spin, but with the power it manifests, spin becomes less essential. Good BH and forehand rubber.

Rozena make me feel secure and safe when playing.. I used reactor tornado for my fh and bh side before.. then change my bh to rozena 2.1mm .. This rubber brings out the beast of my backhand attacks and blocks... Then I tried it
On my fhand and now I want to change my back hand and make it rozena too... Less effort but powerful ... All my strokes came in on the opponents table..

Blade yinhe y13

Update 2023

As of now Im still using rozena but in different blade I have found y13 a liitle bit weak so Ive changed to Yinhe Pro 01 a viscaria clone and I think its performance and feeling is better than Viscaria..

My fhand is Bttle 2 Prov. Ive tried rozena black 2.1 on my fh but it didnt suit with my style ..it always flies .. So now back to battle 2...

But in backhand rozena is a monster.. It gives additional spin from opponent's spin.. It is good in receiving... Service.. Blocks.. And punches.. Pushes.. Control .. A perfect all round rubber on alc blade in my opinion... I think if I switch from rozena to tenergy .. That would be a big difference and difficult ..so Ill stay in ROZENA ..most of my points came from my backhand side.. Im a backhand dominant player..

It is still far from Tenergy, but it's cheaper. The overlay is perfect for training and for amateurs. Plus - has average speed, rotation and control. Minus - not very durable, soft sponge (not suitable for plywood).

Great price, loved the rubber -used it for 3 years- now I outgrew it and purchased Tenergy 80. 3 of my friends purchased it as well and they like it.

This is a wonderful allround type of rubber. It has the Tenergy sponge that makes it very lively and a topsheet that has great spin capability and all at an excellent price! I've been using this on the Boll Allround blade from Butterfly and it has been a great combination. Loads of control over the table so serves, pushes and open ups can be made with great confidence. Yet plenty of power for a nice smash plus great spin with the right technique. A great choice of rubber for a beginner or intermediate player who is honing their strokes. An excellent choice!

IMO Rozena is a good choice for your backhand.Enough speed and specially excellent control.I use it on my Matador blade for RPB I am penholder.I regularly recommend it to my friends and is a quality product from Butterfly with a reasonable price.

Very nice rubber! Very bouncy and has a high margin of error.

Great for topspin. Speed and control are great.

Version of Feb. 21 revised !!! Facts: black rubber with 1.9mm sponge, 92 g. (with packaging), uncutted 65 g. and 44 g. on my OFF+ALC blade. Butterfly states the hardness of the sponge as 35 (Japanese) degrees. - that corresponds to 45 degrees according to international level. The top rubber is quite soft and has a good grip. After finding out many years ago that the Tenergy 05 and 05 FX were too "demanding" for me, I thought I might try the (officially called) "stripped down version". ... the Rozena. (- which is supposed to be easier to control!!!) I ended up playing/testing this rubber for 2 years on different blades. How good or bad it is in the end depends primarily on the blade used. ... it particularly determines spin development and controllability. Sometimes the Rozena (like the Tenergys 05) is also susceptible to incoming spin!!! ...but still easier to control!!! I had the best result with a medium-fast solid wood blade. With such a blade the control was very good and the spin was very high. The worst result was in connection with a hard, fast ZLC blade! - Here the susceptibility to spin was particularly high!!! Due to these very different experiences, I refrain from entering the following values in the table. Spin characteristic: 8.8 to 9.4. Controllability: 8.8 to 9. CONCLUSION: on the right blade, this rubber is really very good! Harder to control on the wrong one and only moderately spiny. - I have never had a covering whose quality depended so much on the wood used!!! ... depends. :-/

Very good I use it on my FH and it allows my shot to hit with a large margin for error. Good amount of spin definitely not slow so overall its a good rubber

I have been using this rubber for the past 9 months (03/2020-12/2020) and have found that this is an excellent rubber to learn and develop mechanics, ball feel, and control. This rubber is relatively linear and will give what you put into it. This rubber is also very stable and forgiving as it has good dwell allowing you to feel and manipulate the ball and is not as affected by incoming spin.
Review helpful?    Yes | No

Did not like this for anything else than blocking. Blocking is pretty automatic like with t05 but when you start to apply your own power its bouncier than tenergy rubbers. Suited me only for backhand blocking.
Review helpful?    Yes | No

I put this rubber on the backhand side of my Timo Boll ALC and it instantly became my favorite backhand rubber. I have a strong backhand topspin and flick and this rubber was able to execute those shots with ease and good quality. The slightly softer sponge compared to Tenergy really helps get that extra dwell time you need on backhand shots. The slightly reduced speed also was a good thing for me because it allowed me to hit strongly on my backhand without worrying about over hitting. The ball just sinks into the rubber and shoot off just how I want it too. For people who are looking to try Tenergy 05-FX or find Tenergy too fast on the backhand, this is the rubber for you. And the price point is just right for my budget.

Good rubber for alc blades

I was using it on both sides. For forehand, I can feel the insufficiency of control when balls didn't hit the blade center. Also it's throw angle is too low, I can't even make a steady forehand loop against heavy down spins. Btw my previous rubber was Vega pro. For backhand, it truly reliable, provides accurate blocks and loops. This is a good rubber considering the price and good on the back hand. But I strongly not recommend to put this on your forehand if you are an aggressive player and would like to make a stable and powerful loop

Before the Covid-19, I changed a Rozena max on my Taksim ALC CPH blade as FH. I liked it much more than my previous rubbers: Xiom OME 7 Europe, Victas 15 stiff, Cornilleau Target Pro 43. The pros are : Very users friendly and comfortable for handling all kinds of shots; serves, block, short play, loops & hitting compared to the other rubbers. It is not a Tenergy but costs half the price and you get 85% of the Tenergy's values. As the players advance in skills, it is obvious to move into Tenergy rubbers. (This must be a Butterfly marketing plan ) Overall, Rozena is an excellent rubber for mid to advanced level (not Pro.) players, (Most of the people are in these groups).
P.S. Since I did not play for many months, I felt the speed was lower. So I re-glued the rubber and no problem now!

Very nice rubber overall. Very bouncy, yet controllable and safe to use. I use this as my backhand rubber and it has worked wonders for me. The only thing I would change would be to have it a bit more tacky, but that's just my preference. Go and buy it, you won't regret it.

Oooh, this is an interesting rubber. Tried this on Stiga Infinity VPS V. For sure, it is quite similar to T05. Feels very bouncy which makes smashes and pushes amazing. Offensive blocking on bh, wow! At the same time, you have decent control. The dwell time is low so looping from down low and againt backspin is hard. The rubber is fast, even away from the table, spin is ok but with the right execution can be good. I feel like it's the best for playing close to the table with direct shots and counterplay. Serves and short game is average. So overall, good rubber with a nice feel, for sure one of the best before you go to the next level (T05 etc.)

A rubber for beginner. Easy to play but thats it.

I love this rubber. It is not too fast, not too spin, but the control is perfect. A very safe rubber with a reasonable price.

Good learners rubber. Great for coaches to teach with and practice with. It has average spin for this era and not much control either. This seems to be the leftover bad parts of the Tenergy series that didnt make the Grade A cut and has 30% less spin and 20% less speed at a $25/30 off of tenergy. Buy a different rubber or do tenergg if you are going to do butterfly rubbers.

The Butterfly Rozena rubber is a really forgiving, yet spinny and fast intermediate level rubber. While highly skilled players should probably opt for the Tenergy or Dignics series, the developing player that still has problems with reading spin and adjusting the racket angle, should definitely give the Rozena a try. I am using the Rozena on my backhand, which is why I dont review forehand techniques. I used this Rubber on a 92g heavy Nittaku Violin FL LG All+ blade.

Countering/Blocking:
Countering is easy going. The rubber is still speedy enough to not let the ball drop into the net. Blocking takes some adjustment, because it reacts much less to incoming spin. I sometimes have the problem that the ball slips on my racket, when blocking a diagonal ball down the line. This is really bothersome but can be adjusted to accordingly.

Topspins:
Topspins played with a thin contact, such as flicks and slow loops, dont benefit from the sponge as much. They are spinny, but not as spinny as they would be if the sponge was engaged properly. This means that the rubber has plenty spin from mid distance and at the table, if you drive loop the ball. In this regard the spin production is quite astonishing, considering the spinsensitivity or lack thereof. Topspins against backspin should be player engaging the sponge, to guarantee the clearance of the net.

Short game/pushes:
The short game isnt the Rozenas strong suit. It is very safe; considering you do get away with bat angle inaccuracies without the ball popping up high. But the spin developed is subpar when compared to other rubbers. Again, you must engage the sponge to develop proper spin, so touching short whilst creating spin is hard, but long pushed should be alright with proper technique.
TL;DR: Perfect rubber for developing player. Low sensitivity to incoming spin, producing surprisingly much spin when engaging the sponge.

Good fast attacking rubber, it's extremely tolerable to miss hits and most of them still land on the table. I am currently using it on my backhand and it makes keeping pressure very easy.
Review helpful?    Yes | No

I have no words to explain the feeling this rubber gives. I don't think this rubber should be compared to tenergy because it has its own category, it's softer than average hard rubbers, gives good control, feeling and spin, I found this rubber particularly good in combination with light soft blades and control blades, I believe there is where I felt the best of this rubber. I have used it in BH and FH and felt completelty good. The Buttefly page says that Rozena's main strenght is his forgiveness and I think that's right.

This rubber it only can be compared to Tenergy 05. It is a bit lower, but that give a lot of control, I would recommend this rubber for those players who have mastered the basics and need some upgrade but don't feel confortable enough or have the control to use a hard rubber.

I have been playing for only 2 years, so my review is that of a beginner. Specifically, I use them for forhand and backhand (2.1). I arrived at these rubbers recommended by an experienced player. High level of control. You can impress a lot of spin but I found the rubber too fast for me and now I switched to less "reactive".

This is like a toned down version of tenergy. Same spring sponge but more control and higher margin of error. Suitable for beginner to intermediate players

I changed my FH rubber to Rozena red 2.1mm after having previously used Xiom Vega Pro and Omega 4 Pro. The reason for change is I had become increasingly BH dominant and BH dependent to score points....and my FH had become erratic and was losing its offensive edge! There is nothing wrong with Xiom rubbers! They are terrific! It was a psychological thing that I had to deal with and I was looking for a different rubber feel!
I put the Rozena on Nittaku Latika (shakehand). At the first session, I disliked the feeling! But then, I was looking for something different! From session 3 onwards, I started liking it.
The topsheet is grippy, does not slip even in humid weather and produces good amount of spin. It is not too soft nor hard. The rubber can lift backspin effectively, pushes, flips, blocks, drives, loops well. Hitting together with spinning the ball feels better than merely doing a pure flat hit. My FH confidence in both the short game and away from table, is being rebuilt. Bonus: correctly contacted, the rubber hisses off a nice "poof"! For me, an important feedback on the quality of my stroke. I suppose a different rubber feel plus attention to rehabilitating other aspects of technique all add into the equation! Thank you for reading!
Update: I switched the Rozena to BH of my Yinhe V14 Pro. I love it for for the ball grip, the moderate catapult and the speed. BH attacks over the table and counter-hitting away from the table are great! For me, this rubber feels better on the BH.

Ratings for 1.9mm. Bouncy with a soft feel. It's easy to control aggressive loops with this and place the ball on the table unlike tenergy.

I believe the rubber is doing what it is supposed to do. But too fast for an casual player like me.

This wasn't a rubber I loved from the first hit; I initially thought it was just okay, and having most recently played with slower and spinnier rubbers (Hexer and Rakza X Soft), it took me some time to get used to it. After a while, I really like how versatile this rubber is. The spin isn't exceptional but easily sufficient, the sound is very nice, and it is much lighter than most modern rubbers. I also like the sponge hardness a lot as it seems to fill a gap in between the medium-soft rubbers (Rakza X Soft, Evolution FX-S) and medium-hard rubbers (Hexer), and it is precisely the hardness I am comfortable using both on the forehand and backhand.

I bought Rozena 1.7mm accidently, just to try it, from my friend and pair it with TSP Balsa 6.5.
I can say only good things for this rubber.
Now I play with Tibhar Stratus in 2.1mm and not planning to change combo.
Comparing to Tenergy series, for me is more like T05 but with harder topsheet and softer sponge.
It has lower spin and lower arc in openings-similar to T64, trajectory is shorter but speed is similar to T05.
Controle is much higher than with T05.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Poprilicno dugo traje, igram 2x sedmicno vec 5 meseci i dalje vuce odlicno..
Nadam se da sam vam malo pomogao oko izbora..

I play with 2.1 mm sponge on Viscaria FL both sides FH and BH about 5 months. This is a cheaper, slower and better variant of T64. Rozena is really an amazing rubber. Everything from serving, to flicking serves, topspinning pushes and blocking it does well. This rubber plays according to player's skill and abilities. I'm very satisfied and impressed on the control and speed of the Rozena rubber. It's true that this rubber is very forgiving and you will be amazed on its performance.I like this rubber because it is considerably lighter (43 g).I think speed = T64 - 10%, spin = T05 - 10% and control = T80 +10% because have low sensitivity to incoming rotation.Rozena gives you a comfortable and easy game and is just as durable as the TENERGY.Excellent choice for players aspiring to the professional level.

Not super spinnny but a good middle ground with mid hard and mid flex rackets. Great when boosted and blocks like a beast and slippage is not common but can be hard to brush dwell that may be hard to bring it over to spin it back over versus just land it.

I just got my new Butterfly Yoshida Kaii Cpen blade from Japan 3 days ago and went to my local table tennis club (Greater Toronto Area) today to give it a try. I glued a new Rozena black rubber with 2.1 mm sponge for the fh side. I just used a Bty red ph sheet on the bh side since the blade is already heavy and I'm used to playing with a Jpen blade (Senkoh 1 w/ Tenergy 80 rubber) which has a lighter weight than this new Kaii blade. I'm very satisfied and impressed on the control and speed of the Rozena rubber that it took me only 30 mins to adust to my new blade/rubber combo. I definitely recommend this rubber especially for developing players. It's true that this rubber is very forgiving and you will be amazed on its performance. Cheers!

This is a downgrade version of Tenergy 05. The sponge is powerful even you exert a little power on your own. It is not very suitable for a very fast blade, the power & very high throw angle will make it hard to control if you are using a super fast carbon blade.

What a beautiful rubber!!! A wise old man at my club once mentioned to me to try Rozena. This was about 6 months back. Recently, I was in the market to buy a back up racket. Remembered the advice and ordered 1.9mm for the backhand. I could not be more pleased. Although, the set-up I chose differed from my previous one, I have never been in so much control with my backhand before Rozena. Be it flicks, drives, blocks, hits or low chops. This rubber has excelled in everything. For me, this one's a keeper. Have used it for about 4-5 weeks and am simply in love with it. Not only has this helped in increasing my shot efficiency by 20-30%, but has also helped in increasing my confidence in backhand. Just hope to continue to improve as I seem to have found the equipment that suits my game. [Blade Sanwei F3 Pro; FH: Sanwei Target National Max].

Really good rubber! Rozena is like a tenergy 05 but less spin. It is also cheaper, it has the same properties as tenergy 05.
I think that Rozena is a better rubber because when you hit the ball it gives the ball a high arc so it can go over the net safely and it is wayyyyyyyyyy cheaper than tenergy 05!

Speed: high, not as fast as Tenergy64 but very fast
Spin: moderate, far from Tenergy05 but on par with other modern rubbers.
Control: very high: not very spin sensitive, medium hard sponge and medium throw makes it very easy to play with.
Great rubber for backhand or developing FH, does everything well. At the current price is a very good deal

What a brilliant marketing move for Butterfly to introduce this new rubber. With Tenergy prices leaving the galaxy this is a pleasant surprise considering Rozena's performance for a wide range of players. It reminded me of T05fx with a bit less spin and a tic more control. Also like Xiom Vega Europe but with more speed. This rubber doesn't need to be forced into making any shot in the game as it plays smooth with no quirky gears like regular T05. Also plays like T64fx with slightly less speed. Mid level players will really like what this rubber offers at a decent price point. Not as spin sensitive as many tensor rubbers. Am playing Rozena on a BTY P. Korbel in 2.1. Really nice combo for looping and aggressive allround style. Noted the lack of any tackiness to the topsheet however it is grippy to produce high spin. I have a feeling this will be a winner for butterfly worldwide and should be around for many years to come. Medium high throw, good feel, plenty of speed and spin. Gives confidence with service returns. A really good horsey you will enjoy riding.

Rozena is a rubber that definetely gives you what it promises. Opposite of Tenergy rubbers Rozena makes avarage players stronger while making strongers weaker. What I mean is when you play against a player technically less advanced than you, you may wish for a little more speed or spin. However when playing against better players, you probably pray for BTY engineers for creating such a good rubber each time your ball finds its way to the opponents side. I believe Rozena is a good choice for intermediates to have fun with the game and to elevate a higher level.

I'm glad Butterfly didn't name this one as Tenergy XX so we can get it at an acceptable price. I changed for this after playing Tenergy 05 for a year and a half and I couldn't be more satisfied. I get the same speed, great spin, better control and the tolerance is no joke. I get more hits on the table than before where every little mistake meant a not so spinny topspin or a miss. Super rubber, top choice.

Although this rubber is often described as a jack of all trades and therefore boring, the Rozena is really an amazing rubber. What it shines at is dependability. Surely this is not something that sounds as sexy as high speed, high spin, high everything but its a remarkable feat nonetheless. Everything from serving, to flicking serves, topspinning pushes and blocking it does well. I think this allroundness can be credited to the slightly harder topsheet and the still firm sponge. Both make the rubber less sensitive to incoming spin while also providing the rubber with enough speed and dwell. The one thing I noticed however was that it is at times easy to overshoot the table on the 5th and 7th ball, but I believe this is due to my inexperience with the spring sponge and past play with short pips.

Nothing spectacular, but it will do the job.
This is a cheaper and slower variant of T64.
Good BH rubber for ALL+/OFF- style.

My friend just got this rubber recently (1.7mm Red) because he didn't want to get anything too crazy like the TEnergy Series since he is still developing his form, strokes, and overall sense of touch. I personally prefer this as a backhand rubber but it is still an OKAY option for forehand (I would choose TEn 05 on forehand or any chinese rubber).

My first impression after making contact with the ball,"...Butterfly definitely got this rubber right..."

It doesn't stand out in any sort of play characteristic except for its supreme consistency and sense of feel. I would love to have this rubber if I played shake hand (I play CPen Short Pips one sided only). This rubber plays according to the player's skill and abilities.

If you want a simple answer,"This is an above average rubber that I believe is more suited toward the backhand side for shakehand players (i'm not too sure about RPB for Penhold). If you want a quality backhand rubber to use as you're developing your 'style' and 'game', I heavily recommend this product."

Rozenna is Butterfly's answer to all the other "tenergy alternative" rubber's that have emerged over the past 3-4 years. I bought it directly from a butterfly vendor, and they described it as being just as fast as Tenergy 05 with less spin.

That is exactly what I've found after playing 20+ hours with the rubber. It's just as fast as T05, and is about half as spinny as 05. Less spin creates less of that classic medium/high throw angle that T05 has which took the most getting used to. I've had to change the way I hit the ball in order to produce similar spin my shots are used to getting.

If your game is more focused on counter hitting and flat hitting, then this is the rubber for you. If you're game is reliant on spin, stay away from this rubber.

Tried this rubber as both a B/H and F/H on my Pingmaster s/l carbon which had Omega V euro both sides.
Changed red omega to the rozena and played for about 2.5 hrs, twiddling the bat occasionally. Although the Roz is a good rubber and many people would like it (would compliment many playing styles) , it could not match the OVE in either speed or spin with the control being almost equal. The Xiom had a bit more grip, was slightly less bouncy
for pushes and service returns, and had a slight edge when it came to offensive play, the Roz being superior when I was forced to play passively or defend a loopdrive/ smash onslaught. So all in all the Rozena is a very solid rubber which can be used for both F/H and B/H, and may help you reduce some of those niggly WTF moments you have with some of the more top end tensors. Personally I have tended to opt for the slower more controlled blade option in coping with those uncooperative sheets as I am addicted to spin. Although cheaper than tenergy, Roz is still very expensive, especially when you can find a lot
of higher spec't current or slightly older tensors for $25-35 US dollars .Cheapest I've seen this is $44.95.

Very good rubber, I found it very similar to the tenergy 80 but I found it lucks of speed is the only thing i could be improve but the speed abd control are okey, its a good rubber for fast players that dont put lot of effects couse is the only week point in this rubber

A lot of people just look at this as Tenergy-lite but if you evaluate it on its own merits it's a really excellent rubber for those looking for a balanced attack with good control and consistency, while still being dynamic with good spin and speed.

It has the same spring sponge as the Tenergy series, my best comparison being a slightly softer and more forgiving Tenergy 80. It's throw angle is similar to MX-P or just less than T80 on the Tenergy scale. It also has relatively good spin and speed being just a notch below the most aggressive attacking rubbers.

The other criticism I've heard of this rubber is that's it's a jack of all trades, but a master of none. While it doesn't quite match the spin and looping ability of Tenergy 05 or speed of Tibhar MX-P, if your game is more than just pure looping and utilizes blocking, control, and placement (and you like Butterfly's spring sponge) then this is an excellent rubber you should give serious consideration.

There's nothing you can't do with this rubber. It offers the dynamic attacking feel of Tenergy while being less spin sensitive and easier to use in the short game.

I put it on my BH-rubber instead of friendship 729-5. It's gave me more controllable, more speed and strong spin.

What a wonderful new rubber som Butterfly. Here are the pros.
-Low Price
-Easy to play
-Good forgiveness if you dont hit the ball 100% correct
-High elasticity

Overall it was a good rubber to take over for my T05FX.
Have played T05FX in 1.9mm on a zlc blade for over 5years now.
This Rozena give me a lot of the same, and i feel a better feel and touch. And to a lower Price. Lovely.

Feels like a step down from tenergy rubbers, all around. That's not to say it is inferior, only that the traits and characteristics are less extreme. A bit less spin sensitive, a bit less speed, slightly less catapult etc. Still works wonderfully well on the amateur level and I believe even a few pros have swapped to Rozena. About $25 cheaper than tenergy as well!

I think in a blind play test, 95% of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference! And their score would probably go up, as rozena is easier to control... it's certainly made to compete with other rubbers in this price range (tibhar mx-p, donic bluefire, etc.). Butterfly probably wanted to get a foot in the door, instead of losing those customers with slightly lower budgets. At $50 a sheet, I think any player under 2500 (so essentially everyone on the amateur circuit) would be perfectly fine with it. Sure, you might like how X rubber feels or Y rubber bounces more, and that's okay. But on the objective level, Rozena sits right up there with the best and I foresee it being a perennial best seller.

It's more better controllable than T05 or T64. Strong spin and middle speed. I put this ROZENA on my Butterfly Primorac Carbon's forehand. Very good rubber for me that are not professional players.

The rubber has the top similar to the tenergy but the foam is much slower. The result is that he has great spin and very easy in the top spin ... but he is not good for me in block and crushing
...tenergy vs rozena is like Viscaria vs viscaria light ...(another rubber, another blade..) ah ah ah!

My first impressions after three training sessions. So far I played a Vega Pro on the backhand all in all is this a very good rubber, but away from table for me to slow. This is the reason why I try the Rozena. I play it in red 1.9mm.
The conversion was no problem. I play it exclusively on the BH, accordingly also my rating. Serves: I have not tasted enough so far, to make a usable statement. Short game: is easy to play with this rubber. BH-loops: are great. Blocking: is very comfortable, both active and passive. In my opinion one of the best, perhaps the best, I tried so far for blocking. Chop: Excellent chop game, very well dosed / controllable. Flick: were easy to play and dangerous. Hard BH-strokes are easy to play also away from the table. The hardness is between T05 and T05 FX i think. The quality is as usual from Bty without complaint. The price is acceptable, 39.90 would be enough ;-) . No money wasted, did what I wanted and stay on my blade. For my game a great BH-rubber. Play and have fun !
