I built a paddle with the Apolonia ZLC and Dignics 05. It has helped me take my game to the next level (compared to a lighter, cheap, wood paddle) by increasing my speed and attack. After a week of adapting I went against a player I had never scored more than 2-3 points against and averaged 7 points per game, almost winning one of the nine games.
This blade seems to have a pretty good sweet spot, good weight, and lots of power. Combined with the dignics 05, I can be given backspin and rip it back just as quickly or hit topspin I could not before.
With lots of power, I also feel like this blade has some decent control and consistency- I am able to land shots very close to where I want them.
The quality looks to be top notch. Really glad I took the plunge and purchased this blade.

ts like innerforce layer zlc older brother. Blades playing alike, but apolonia has more speed, dwell, spin and also control. Using with dignics 09c on both sides. Serves is very dangerous loaded with spin, just move ur legs in proper position and loopkill for easy points. Definitely for attack oriented players. Quality of the blade and its feel is very very premium. This is my favorite weapon now and i giving 10 of 10.
For anyone who doubted the backhand of this blade, pair it with the right rubber!!! Its backhand side is rather soft unlike other blades with a stiff koto layer and carbon in the outlayer. You need Dignity 05 or other stiff rubbers to release its potential in the spin department and your backhand loop will be a breeze. The forehand side of this blade is very hard, so you need a powerful stroke to master this blade.
Well balanced blade with the proper amount of weight (96g) for the new plastic ball. Nice blade what more can I say. Using Donic Bluestorm Z2 2.1 on both sides. Has the speed when needed. Good control. Has a nice soft touch and feel. Ball placement comes easy with great blocking. Very nice blade to have in your collection.
9.3/10 for OFF style. FH/BH: Donic Coppa X1 Turbo Platin, 2.2mm, 44g (0.217g/cm^2), 47.5 degrees (ESN), 37.5 degrees (Shore A). Blade: Butterfly Tiago Apolonia ZLC, 89g, 157mm x 150mm x 5.6mm (Width x Height x Thickness). Plies: 7 (5 Wood + 2 Composite): Limba - Limba - ZLC - Ayous - ZLC - Limba - Limba.
not suited for bh oriented player
Good feeling
I had 93 grams batch.
Too fast for me

I tried many blades but this one is specific.
I play with TBS then Freitas ALC and come to this one, because i miss that wood feeling.
Mine is 91 gr.FL heavier than average what i want bcs i think heavier examples plays better and with less vibration.
Medium soft and crisp,little vibration.
Woody feel and control on slow strokes, when you step away from table and loop and specialy counterloop, then you see the power of the blade and how the hard ZLC layers start to kick the ball like a beast.
Spin is very high on slow and very high on faster loops.Serving with high spin and low pace no problem.
Paired better with harder rubbers because outer limba is soft.
My combination 05 FH and 05 FX BH.
This blade produce more spin than TBS and Freitas.
Only the blocking is better with harder ALC-s.
Overall is the beast.

Similar to my Garaydia ALC, but with a few more top gears. Has tremendous catapult effect when looping hard. More dwell time and spin than my Garaydia ALC, but it is softer and sometimes not as crisp. Well crafted. Whether it is worth the price is up to the individual player. I am glad I bought it and have it, but I can honestly say that I think Butterfly has just made too many different blade models and the difference in some of their playing characteristics is not worth the increase in price. Case in point is the $425 Zhang Jike Super ZLC. My friend and I traded rackets for about half an hour. The difference between the Zhang Jike Super ZLC, my Tiago Apolonia ZLC and my Garaydia ALC?...better fitting handle and....that's about it..! Do I have the money to buy the Zhang Jike Super ZLC? Absolutely, no problem there, but is it worth the extra $$$ over my Garaydia ALC or TA ZLC? Not to me. I prefer my Garaydia ALC, if I didn't, I would have already bought the Zhang Jike Super ZLC.
This blade great flex for top spin plus speed. it feel close to Marcos Freitas ALC but more vibration feedback, it heavier even blade thickness 5.65mm with thinner Ayous core that because of ZLC make it heavy. 2-Limba veneer with inner fiber ZLC, when you hit harder you will feel stiff power from inside, a unique characteristic.
My inner equipment junky caused me to relapse recently. Consequently, I am the proud (and significantly poorer) owner of the new Freitas and Apolonia blades. Both blades are amazing in their own ways. I have Tenergy 80 (fh) and vega euro (bh) on both paddles. With rubbers, the Apolonia weighs a hefty 186 gms, while the Freitas comes in at 178 gms. The Apolonia feels like it weighs even more than 8 grams more than the Freitas. Yet, compared to my innerforce zlc, I swear the Apolonia is more linear and less bipolar
(i.e. it feels easier to tame to me)--even as it meets and perhaps exceeds the pace of the IF. Typically, I don't fall for blades that feel this hefty. So, I'm surprised by just how much I enjoy my Apolonia. It manages the trick of being both soft and crisp. Of offering both control and, when called upon, a dangerous kick. This blade is effective from any distance, and, like the Freitas, it emits an extremely gratifying "crack" when you crunch the ball correctly. Basically, this blade deserves is steep price

Recently use this blade.. fh raystorm and bh omega v euro, this has awesome control.. good power and speed.. spin incredible if u pair with right rubber.. topspin so powerfull and loop is great with low arc that make opponent loss their confident..lol.. overall nice blade
This is the best blade ever!!!!! The price is ridiculous but it is so worth it!!!! You can do anything with it. Counter loops are the best and mid distance is the best. This blade is an allround offensive blade suited for all play except defense you have to use defensive blade for defence.
