Super protective hard case on the outside. There is a plush cushion under a felt lining on the side of the paddle. I feel like I bought a luxury bed for my paddle which is exactly what I was looking for. The zipper/mesh side can easily hold 3 balls in the included ball holder (which is just a foam cutout) and my cleaning spray and sponge with a bit of room to spare for other small items. It's a pricey case but I would say it's worth it.
