Was a bit disappointed with the quality of this blade. The wood grain looks like its going in 2 different directions!
Besides that, the handle is very nice.
Playing wise, I put on 2 Joola Mambo H for forehand and backhand. This rubber is a fairly slow rubber so it will influence my assessment of this blade.
This has a good solid feeling to it but it also possesses the flexibility and light-weight that a good looping blade has.
5 plies, 2 of them being hard outer plies of walnut have given this blade its attributes.
Speed-wise, I would rate the blade as being offensive, maybe slightly on the lower end of Off. Out of a scale of 10, I have rated it as 8.7 so its got more than enough power for most players. While the blade is moderately fast, the control factor is still noticeably present.
I have been able to chop quite well with this setup because Mambo H is quite a slow rubber, probably equivalent to Sriver. The blade itself is slightly flexible which also helps, but I would not recommend this blade for a defensive game.
The Extra Offensive would work well with all rubbers- whether it is soft, medium or hard like Chinese rubbers.
If you're looking for a good quality, not-so-pricey and offensive blade, I would recommend the Extra Offensive.
