SHIPPING:
A few months ago, I ordered a 7/8” Kettler table from a large retailer. It came poorly packaged and upon opening one corner was crushed and several screws holding apron were ripped off. This Joola 2500 table was shipped from CA all the way to the east coast; it arrived on a pallet and in good condition. I would say the packaging is the main reason why it made it all the way w/o major damage. The table does have minor nicks here and there, but I guess I am just going to have to live with that.

ASSEMBLY:
This table is A LOT heavier than a 7/8 table. Despite only having to carry one table half at a time, we had a very hard time getting it downstairs. Forget about carrying this to the basement “with your wife”, you need a strong buddy and even then it won’t be a walk in the park.

The assembly took 15-20 minutes. All in all – easy stuff, just make sure to use up all washers. I was able to flip the table onto its feet by myself, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you absolutely have to.

QUALITY:
Solid table, 1” thick top, professional bounce. I play on top of the line Butterfly and Joola tables at my club and I can honestly say the bounce is identical. This table would be a great choice for TT clubs on a budget or community centers.

OVERALL:
For the price, the value cannot be beat. German made tables will have better craftsmanship than this Chinese made table but they will cost a lot more too. If you have someone strong who can help you carry this heavyweight, get it without any hesitation. Otherwise I would opt out for a lighter 7/8” table.
