Buying a table can be very confusing due to the number of models and price points. I decided to go for the middle--not to expensive, not too cheap, but to get the thickest table possible. A friend recommended the Stiga Advantage, but I read too many stories about tables arriving with damage. I also read many reviews of how well-packed the Joola tables were, so I opted for the 2500. The package is very heavy, probably around 300 lbs, and came on a pallet. The table is constructed in two parts, but be aware that each of these is still very heavy--you need two strong people to get each part upright. But of course, that's the price for the heavier 1-inch thick table. The table was well-packed with no damage, and went together very quickly, just 10 minutes for each part. You just have to put the wheels on, turn the part over, and put on the net. That's it. Make sure you have a socket set. A second socket wrench is necessary, one to hold the bolt still and one to turn the nut. Each wrench needs a different size socket because the bolts and nuts differ. The instructions don't tell you what tools or sizes are necessary but it's not rocket science.
The table seems well made, and seems to play well. We only had one issue: The legs have adjusters to level the table, but keep in mind that they anchor into cheap plastic inserts that sit inside the steel legs. My young son practiced with one side up, and let it down too hard, which blew out the plastic anchors for the levelers. Our fault, but just be aware the levelers are NOT made to take any abuse. The company has responded quickly and I'm sure they'll get us some new ones so I'm not worried about it. I stuck a wood block under and leveled with flooring wedges, so we're good for now.
At this price point, though, those anchoring plastic inserts should really have been steel welded inside the legs. Otherwise, good, fast service from Megaspin, and we're having a great time playing.
