I was back using euro/jap rubbers when i 1st bought this blade and was underwhelmed. In fact i'd switched to my Hurricane Hao 3 as i preferred the feel, balance [less head heavy], and handle, although it was lower powered. This all changed when i put a chinese rubber [hurricane 3 neo] on the forehand of the Long 5 and the whole thing came alive. Everything instantly felt perfect...counter-looping, short pushes, chop-blocks...this set-up [Nittaku Hammond Pro-Beta b/h] could do everything quicker and with as much control as anything i'd tried before. If you don't get on with Chinese rubbers [F/H] this blade might well not be for you but if you like to go Chinese on forehand you have to try this blade.
