Der-Materialspezialist Wildfire is a very innovative and exceptional half-pimple rubber!

The Wildfire combines the dangerous pimple structure of a half-length pimple with the rubber compound of a classic anti-top rubber.

The result is not just a new rubber, but an unprecedented half-length pimpled rubber that meets the strict ITTF requirements in terms of surface friction.

The sponge version of the Wildfire has a medium basic speed, while the ball's flight curve is extremely flat and extremely steep.

The Wildfire intentionally keeps spin development low, making blocks and counterattacks unpredictable for the opponent. This can lead to shots with unpleasant rotation effects or even entirely spinless shots, giving you a tactical advantage on the table.

Surprisingly, the Wildfire also shows no weaknesses in offensive play. Pimpled spin, aggressive counterattacks, and brutal finishing shots are all easily playable.

The control values of the Wildfire are not just good, they are above average due to the low friction coefficient of the rubber compound, providing you with a reassuring level of control.

Wildfire: Innovative, wild half-pimple rubber with low surface friction and a flat, descending trajectory.

Reviews of Der-Materialspezialist Wildfire (2)

I am playing the Wildfire for about 2 months now and the more you play with rubber the better you understand the posibilities and its powers/weaknesses. I played this rubber for a short while in 1.7 and in now for a longer period in 1.3mm. Played them on koki niwa all wood, mizutani ZLC and now on my harimoto inner ALC where it is gonna stay. And for me it mattered a lot on which blade I played it. On the Mizutani ZLC it was harder to control, more flat balls and deadly blocks (due to flat balls high chance of missing the net). Also less control and overshooting when attacking. The all wood blade which usually is praised for pips rubbers felt to num for me. Less feeling lead to overcompensating but what I missed on both blades with this rubber were the emergency balls which i couldnt get over the net. The Harimoto fixed that problem for most of the part. Now I have the feeling im slowly learning to understand the rubber. WIldfire is a rubber that wants to be played actively. Don't get me wrong, the rubber offers a lot of deception and dead balls. Even some anti abilities due to anti sponge in it. But the mix with attacking and defense is the part where this rubber comes on top for me. Attacking wise it plays like a short pip offering a lot speed with mixed no spin balls, and some spin balls even. Pushes are fun depending on the angle of your bat you can give dead no spin balls or add backspin. This deception is a pain for opponents who have a lot trouble reading the ball. This results in net errors or pushing the ball a lil to high so you can counter with an attack fh or bh depending what you prefer. Blocking on the Harimoto is for me the most stable, with the lil extra arc the blade offers the balls will go over the net but will stil have enough deception, sink effect to cause trouble for the opponent. Im sticking with this rubber for the coming months to see what it can offer me more when im learning to know this rubber

The Wildfire replaced my Palio WP1013. I play it in 1.3 mm on a Firewall Plus blade. I use it for both forehand and backhand. It's controlled but also well-suited for counterattacks. It replaced my Palio WP1013 and is significantly less sensitive to spin. It has an extremely flat trajectory. Even defending against topspins with extreme backspin is easy to control. I had considerably more problems with the Palio in this regard.
