Donic BlueGrip C2 is for uncompromising offensive players that rely on speed and spin.
Powerful catapult effect, incredibly spinny.
Technology: Full tension sponge, tacky topsheet. Slightly softer and significantly lighter than the C1 with values of 55° and 80g respectively.
THE FUTURE IS ALREADY HERE
Versions V1 and R1 of the BlueGrip series were already a revolution: The best of both worlds in one rubber! Now Donic is taking this development one step further. With the BlueGrip C1 and C2, Donic has added two versions to this series that outshine everything that has come before them.
The Donic BlueGrip has a tacky, Chinese-style topsheet, along with a sponge with a powerful catapult effect and incredible dynamic properties, the likes of which we only see from rubbers from Japan or Germany. But there is more – these dynamic properties have now been increased even further.
With a sponge hardness of 60°, the C1 version gives the ball an even greater arc when playing topspin strokes and provides even more speed, while the C2 has a slightly softer sponge and subtle differences in the pimple geometry, all of which provides further support for the softer playing feel.

Fantastic rubber that plays similarly to a very nicely boosted H3N and doesn’t play as hard as it is rated. Blocks, pushes, serves and flicks are all tremendous and loaded up with spin. Passive blocks are a tad trickier and this will not add much to the block as a Tenergy or other ESN tensor rubber would. Speed comes with effort and it’s applied linearly and predictably, which for me is a welcome change. As far as durability, I’ve been playing with it for over a month and a half playing multiple times per week and it shows very little sign of wear. If you like H3N but don’t want to fool with boosting, this may well be what you’re looking for. Fantastic rubber for me especially on the forehand side.

holy cow i love this rubber! Now I'm an old spinner-type of person who basically hates the new plastic ball. So I had to figure out equipment all over again. I used to use Waldner Senso Carbon with Tenergy 05 on both sides and I played about 1900 with that equipment. Fast forward 10 years and it's been very difficult to find something that can spin the ball slowly or quickly as needed, serve & serve return, block, and so on. I tried a bunch of faster blades as well, in general I think slightly faster blades are necessary. So I changed to a Timo Boll ALC and tried Dignics 05 and 09C because everyone else seemed to like it. But after a short time those rubbers lose grip and I'm making far too many mistakes. Well, BlueGripC2 to the rescue. Literally in 1 day, my unforced errors were reduced by 50%. In 3 days, I think 75% reduction of errors. I put max on both sides and the blade is just a bit heavy for my liking. My friend tried my paddle and instantly liked it and he bought 2.0 on both sides. So then we were switching paddles back and forth as we did multi-ball for a while. This makes me qualified to make this review. I think Max is best for Forehand, but 2.0 is just fine for backhand. With C2 you can serve great. it's very grippy but doesn't pick up the ball upside down like some sticky chinese rubbers. But this means your serve return will be good as well. You can really dig a push and get great spin. You can block and punch block with ease. With that hard sponge you can reloop someone else's slow loop with ease right off the bounce. And you can absolutely punish any long push with ease, easily opening deep with heavy spin. And surprisingly, you can rip fairly well. No, you cannot rip as easily as you can with Dignics 05. No firm sponge rubber can do that. But you can do EVERYTHING ELSE far suprior: serve, serve return, block, push, first opening spinny loop, flat smash. And isn't that 90% of the game? So in 1 sentence: Dignics 05 is better for loop against block in drills; and Donic BlueGrip C2 is better for everything else including playing matches and keeping the ball on the table reducing errors and playing all sorts of strange people that you will encounter.

I play with max sponge black on DEF blade andro midori my style is modern defender with strong counter atack on FH and earlier i played H3 (provincional and national ), yasaka rakza Z , yinhe big dipper, donic C1 ,Victas Triple Double Extra, battle 2 (blue sponge most expensive version) . It suits for defender verry wel you can defend like joo and attack counterloop like giontis. Durability is tricky as after two trening session rubber stay the same for long period depending how many who plays. Disadvantages I discover are blocks passive or energy one.
