Yeah, it's not good for the table either. I don't do it intentionally of course, it's just that at this stage I'm having trouble reading whether a serve will be long or short so sometimes I get caught trying to push a long serve that drops off the end of the table and then wham, sometimes the edge of the racket goes into the edge of the table. Definitely decreases the life of the blade....
