I am not sure of the procedure for getting the approval of a new rubber but in the case of the LP ban with the degree of friction on the rubber being the criteria for the ban, then the new rubbers approved after this should not be banned because the ITTF should not have approved it in the first place and if the these new approved rubbers are banned then that means a new set of rules have been implemented because these new rubbers were deemed to have passed the test(s). Maybe these companies should sue the ITTF because they have invested a lot of money in manufacturing the rubbers and many people have bought them so their reputation has been tarnished. |
