Since the original post I've managed to try a few different bats. Tried a Primorac with Sriver & Sriver El. The El was OK but nothing amazing and I just plain didn't like the standard sriver. I guess that means I prefer a softer rubber than sriver. Given this pattern, I wonder if I would like Sriver Fx more than Sriver El. I wonder how Sriver El compares to the Coppa and Desto rubbers??

I also tried a Walder Impuls 6.5 which was speed glued (I'm not planning on speed gluing, although haven't ruled it out completely) with Donic Sonex 40. That kinda blew my mind! I hit some amazing forehands with it but would worry about control in a game situation.

Still undecided on exactly what to order...
