Well, I did get some wood with the rubber on one side (when I tried to use nail polish remover), but I got much better at it (using mineral spirits) on the other side. Perhaps I will try lighter fluid on my friend's racket. I would expect that lighter fluid and mineral spirits, being both petroleum based solvents, would work in a similar manner. With what (if anything) should I fill the gouges?
