Hi Fadil, I worry that Table Tennis is eventually going to become the same as tennis where everyone tries to play the same style, but at differing levels. Here in the states I have not come accross any players as young as me who use frictionless. There are a lot of Nuebauer players here, but most of them are over 60. The best frictionless player in the states I think is from Armenia and I would say he is in his late 30's though. My coach believes that long pips are the reason that table tennis in the USA is taking so long to catch up with Europe and Asia. He believes that when kids go to a club for the first time and play an old man with Neubauer they will not return. I tell my coach that it is an open market product and they too can play with it, but he says they want to play like Mark Hazinski (Best American born player in the US) who loops from both wings. I therefore find it very interesting that kids play with frictionless over there. Ben |
