I currently serve from the right hand side of the table.
I serve fast top spin down the right line to the corner or across to the other corner.
Or I back spin as hard as I can, again fast, and again bounce near the opponents edge.
However watching the professionals on DVD they appear to nearly always serve from the left half, appear to be hitting the ball quite high 6" off the table, appear to place the ball to bounce near the center (depthwise and across-wise) of the opponent's court. With a lot of spin of course.
I guess the way I currently serve must be bad? only I don't know it yet because I only a casual player?
