you should google US websites for the MSDS of type of rubber cement you want to use. They ARE slightly different. For example: Best Test one coat vs best test paper cement... one dries as 2:1 rubber:resin, and one dries as 100% rubber. The solvents used aren't as important if the main adhesive is 100% polyisoprene, with the solvents it's mainly a toxicity issue. (ex. : the old Ross Rubber Cement - no longer sold - is 30-40% Toluene; and Toluene has a LD50 40x less -- 40x more toxic -- than Heptane/Napthas) |
