I think a lot of coaches would be telling you to do shadow strokes. Make sure you know what your form is supposed to be and then do shadow strokes slowly so as to make sure the form is what you want. Slowly work up speed and quantity. You'll know how good your form is by how many you can do. Appearantly my form's not so good because I keep hearing you should be able to do a thousand in a sitting no sweat. If you can't it's appearantly a problem in your form more than your endurance.
