I switched from shakehand and now play j pen.I also use the reverse backhand loop. Don't worry so much about the weight of the blade even with a rubber sheet on the back you will be able to fan out your fingers so the weight is more balanced so the weight is not as noticable as a shakehand blade.If anything be more concerned by head length and where you play on the table Drive pen vs. Fast attack.I play med distance with a drive pen Butterfly Chiang Peng Lung I think this is the best blade so far for reverse backhand cause of it's extra length don't let it's 8 speed rating fool you any single ply hinoki is fast.
