I agree with Eric and Kevin. Sometimes I do a J type shot (like a tennis backhand slice on a low ball, you sort of slice down then scoop up), sometimes its an agressive chop from 11 oclock to 5 oclock, sometimes its a sidespin chop slice(like Kim Kyung Ah)...it depends on how much loop your opponent has put on the ball, the more loop the more likely the ball is to pop up off your bat, the harder your chop has to be, with more spin, with a more closed bat. Also your chops action shouldn't just be smooth all the way, try and accelerate through the ball and use some wrist...thats how you get most spin (try Lp's for more spin effect too)
