I have used Single Layer Hinoki/Cypress blades since the early 80's. I use Yasaka Original 1mm sandwich. Very predictable response and very consistent stroking. I prefer the 10 mm blade and the thin inverted sponge.
When I look in the catalogs and find 196 different blades and 198 different sponge/rubber combos, my head spins! I'm glad I spent my time just learning new strokes with the same racket!
