|Hi Ben,you are right we have to ask ourselves what is good for the future of the sport, look as a trainer I never give a frictionless rubber to the hand of my player and want him to become champion just by sending wobble balls to his opponents. My clup owner wanted quick success in the past so we used frictionless rubbers. But my players loop effectively from their forehand and block or hit from backhand side. They know all basis strokes in table tennis ,except bach hand loop.So variety is very important in table tennis.Table tennis fans want different kind of styles, they don't want to see always attacker matches. So I believe to have different styles is good for the future of the game. On the other hand I am aginst ITTF and president Saharara because they mixed everything .If you decided to ban some rubbers ,a year ago before banning give the exact list of the rubbers,so players adopt themselves.Look what ITTF did ,they gave the list of banned rubbers to the manifacturers and they sold the bannig rubbers to us.Even today we don't know rubbers like Super Nova,fr special will be banned or not.Super Nova passed the friction test, players bought that rubber and suddenly ITTF stopped the selling of this rubber. And also I am against any kind of banning. To much changes can spoil the sport.|
