| since i am also an experienced player,i consider serves as case to case basis.some players have a difficult time returning sidespin serves,others are not,you will be at the defensive rightaway.based on my experience in the sport.giving controlled underspin is the safest and tha deterrent to loop drives.you can mix underspin and sidespin to further confuse your opponent.actually,you can give topspin which looks like a underspin,defending on your level of serving skill,this will frustrate your opponent and will eventually make him lose the game |
