I would look seriously at the applegren all blade by donic. The black stuff comes off those blades onto your rubber, plus I don't like the weighted handle, or even hollow handles. Plus the applegren is just a nicer product.

Then if you want to save money, get fxel rubber or lkt xp 2.o or something like that. But go ahead and get a little nicer blade. If you want a friendship blade, I would look at the instinct 5ply before I got the whirlwind.
