Hi all, I'm fairly new to table tennis but in my short time I have become fairly good at chopping and would consider myself a defensive player.

That being said, I have decided to step up to a better paddle. I am looking for something on the def to all side. I don't want to spend more than $60.00.

Any suggestions? I have heard the Black Whirlwind is good for beginners, anyone have an opinion about that blade? What about beginner defensive type rubbers? Thanks in advance.
