When thinking about your fh rubber, you can't really do that in a vacuum, you have to consider if it compliments your bh rubber too. For example,if you're gonna be chopping, you're gonna be twiddling. You don't want the throw angle (here he goes again about that throw angle!) of the fh rubber too different to your bh rubber. It's hard enough to keep a chopping rally going, without you having to correct the angle of your blade too much every time you twiddle to keep the ball from going long or short. Another example, if your bh pips are meant for close to the table hitting, you shouldn't be spending too much time chopping from 10 feet away, so you're fh rubber choice should be a compromise able to deliver good close to the table loops aswell. |
