I've also heard the term "hook loop" applied to this stroke. I use to play this obese guy who had the hook-loop down as well as anyone I've played. I honestly don't think he could hit an ordinary loop because of his girth; he just naturally had to swing in this winding, hooking motion. But I swear he had one of the most graceful, aesthetically-pleasing strokes I have ever seen.
