The following message (subject: Rubber doming problem) was posted by Rod, on 1/27/2005 5:35:02 PM:
I got a new sheet of DHS PF4-1 1.6mm, applied rubber cement to it and let it set for a day. Today I applied 4 layers of home made speed glue (rubber cement and thinner - works well)15 minute break in between applications. With each application the rubber domed more and more.By the 4th application it almost coiled on itself like a tube. This is a hard rubber, I didnt expect that!It wouldn't stick to the blade (I also applied a layer of glue to the blade, and waited for it to dry to a tacky finish, like the rubber).

I removed all the glue easily with my fingers, and 4 hours later the rubber is still massivley domed with no glue!

Whats going on?
