I just can't let it go!!! ... - I just have to test a "classic" or a Chinese rubber from time to time !!!
Facts: black rubber with (47.5 degree) 2 mm sponge. Weight packed, 93 g., uncut 68 g. and 47 grams on my blade (157 x 150 mm).
One thing that particularly struck me when playing with the Genius was the low catapult. It plays very directly, but you always have the feeling that the ball doesn't want to leave the rubber surface. - which of course makes the rubber very controlled! However, the rotation values are very high. In my opinion, it's a real spin monster that also works on a wide variety of blades. - but it also reminds a bit of faster Chinese rubbers, which, as is well known, are often missing a little catapult! Conclusion: for this rubber I would recommend a blade that is not too hard and stiff. However, this should be fast enough to compensate for the lack of catapult of the rubber. With such a combination, this rubber should surely find many friends!

Best rubber for players tryin to develop control. Consistent for backhand flicks and topspins.

Very spinny tensor rubber. Works well on either FH or BH. Throw is quite high. Catapult effect is quite strong, most noticeable on medium impact strokes, thus mid distance looping is a breeze. However, it is not as versatile. Topsheet isn't so grippy, making flicks and pushes a bit iffy, but also making the rubber less sensitive to spin, so passive play is quite easy. Boosting will increase both advantages and disadvantages, resulting in very few gears and huge catapult but also wicked spin on shots with sponge engaged. Overall, this rubber is like MX-P with worse topsheet, less booster and higher throw. Intermediate players can use this and later upgrade to MX-P.

Very similary as Donic Baracuda. More gears , little more speed and dynamic , moderate catapult. Topsheet little softer , high arc.Very good ruber , first generation form ESN after Tenergy 05.

using it in 2.0 sponge on both backhand and forehand on a stag balsa carbon fast blade, and I must say this is one of the best controlled offensive rubbers I have ever played with. Good Speed, Good spin and excellent control. Not very sensitive to incoming spin and hence blocks brilliantly. Counter topspin or topspin kill shots are also very easy with this. Medium throw angle keeps the ball from shooting long even on aggressive shots .. totally satisfied on both BH/FH. I also have a carbonado 145 blade and this rubber should also work wonderfully well on that blade as well !!

Very good rubber. Quite insensitive to incoming spin, good at serves, great arc for topspin, excelent for pushes and blocks, but the main strength is control. Awsome control, very easy to play with. Highly recommended.
Update 26.02.2015: Boosted is .. amazing: a litle softer with better spin and control. Super rubber!

Less speed and spin than T05 but much better control and far less sensitivity to incoming spin.

I play Maze T-teh OFF, FH T64FX 1.9, BH T05FX 1.7 or T64FX 1.7. I had the opportunity
to test several Tibhar's new blades and rubbers (2 weeks).
The rubber Genius is soft so the blade is better to be hard. I tested the Genius 1.7-1.8
on several different blades and found the most suitable is Tibhar Combat (new design).
This combination is perfect for attacking game close to table and mid distance. Spin is
very well controlled so I was able to perform spin as I wanted (short or long, low or
hight arc, more or less rotation). My opponent said me that he had a lot of problems to
understand the spin because my movement of the hand seemed always the same.
Direct hiting was also perfect (almost effortless) regardless the ball rotation, the same
was flipping.
Short to short was is good, blocking also.
Regarding service can't tell because my opponent is very good in returnig. Nevertheless
I presume the service should be good (the spinner opponent hit quite a few balls in net).
The Genius is definitely nice rubber for FH and just a very little less for BH (but also
good).
And, as I always claimed, the other side rubber effects the tested one, so your experience
using Genius might be different in case you play Genius in a pair of some other rubber.

I Probe this rubber , but my sensation was very poor, this rubber lokks like tacky chinese rubber.

The spin is not sufficient to create high arcs.

I like TIbhar very match but sorry i don´t like this nothing. I'm go back to Aurus, for me is very better

I tried a lot in the past and found my rubber. Is perfect in 1,8 mm and better than tenergys. Creates spinny serves, good blocking and powerful topspins.

very good spinny tensor rubber. its not blazingly fast but definitely not a slow rubber at all. one of the best rubbers i have tried and very good value for the money

great speed, spin and good control

This was a disappointment. it is meant to be spinny with spring-like sponge to give nice trajectory but this is not the case. the sponge feels very soft with little bouncing and the sheet is not gripy to apply heavy spin. it is not good at all for serving and looping. what this rubber does nicely though is blocking.

Very nice rubber!
Very good control and spin. Fast as needed.
Switched from Tenergy 64 on my Donic Waldner Senso Carbon because it was too hard.
Durability: 4 months of play, 7 hours a week, and its seems like new, or near.

The best rubber I've used!

Switched from Tenergy05 but this one is feels quite different. Feels slow, soft but feels more tacky and spinny. This rubber needs a harder sponge IMO then it will be much better.
Durability is horrible compare to Tenergy. Not even close. Sponge does not stick very well. Needs 2-3 gluing before it completely stick. I'm a Tibhar fan but I'm going back to Tenergy or Vega.

tried this on a borrowed paddle, it played different from other tensor. the topsheet looks less fragile and definitely has more grip than other tensor, however it's not as spinny as tenergys or boosts. however in terms of spin this is a great improvement in comparism to other esn-rubbers.

sponge hardness is about the same as platin soft.
