Once upon a time, a long, long time ago! ... in 2011 this rubber was rated here for the first time by Marcello. - back then people still played with celluloid balls! TODAY, 13 years later, this rubber is still on the market and, without a doubt, one of the best BH rubbers on the market!!! It will certainly be too soft for many players (for their FH side), but due to the very tight top rubber it is a medium-fast, very spiny rubber with good catapult. The sponge hardness is specified as 40 degrees, the total hardness is (according to Spin and Speed in Germany) 50.2 degrees. - which corresponds to the total hardness of the Aurus Select (with 45 degree sponge) !!! Here are a few more facts about the rubbers I bought: Red 1.7 mm, original packaging 90 g, uncut 59 g. and cut to 157 x 159 mm only 40 g. Black 1.7 and 1.9 mm each: original packaging 86 g., uncut 57 g., cut on Cybershape dimensions only 42 g. Conclusion: - I have already largely submitted it. ...but not only is this rubber really excellent, it is also very light and helps to minimize the weight of the blade. So it is definitely suitable for beginners, but also for players up to intermediate levels!!!

This is a soft sponge with a medium soft topsheet, Great for reverse pendulum serve and first opening against bs. This is a bh rubber with a lot of alright characteristics. Not a lot of spin and quality in shots. Rubber has average durability. I recoment Joola Rhyzm series if you want to get better at tt for a cheaper price (25 a sheet)

Black, 2.1mm on a 729 V-6 blade. I tried this on my backhand, looking for a cheaper substitute for Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft. The feeling I get is that the Aurus Sound is just a little bit behind in most aspects. The speed is perhaps a bit higher. The spin is a bit lower. The dwell time is lower. I think that the physical feeling of rubber/sponge when you grab it is the same as R7S, but Aurus Sound feels a bit more stiff when you play. Blocking is ok, but not as good as R7S. Top spin isn't as easy as with R7S because of the lower dwell time. Pushing is easier with R7S. It tends to go longer with Aurus Sound. Aurus Sound will be better for a more aggressive backhand play, with perhaps more flat hard strokes than my more top spin/passive block oriented play. Aurus Sound feels lighter than the heavy Rakza 7 Soft. I have also tried Yasaka Rigan for backhand, and I can say that Aurus Sound is somewhere in between Rigan And Rakza 7 Soft. These rubbers can't be compared to DHS H3N, Yinhe Big Dipper and other Chinese tacky rubbers regarding spin and speed at all. These are just made for controlled play and mainly backhand, according to me. Good rubbers for the beginners forehand, to learn looping. Weight cut, Max: 38g

Medium soft rubber, great spin and good control. Speed glue feeling while using hard allwood blade on my backhand. Good feeling when push and block. Long push at the corner is its main function. A very good rubber for allround offensive play.

after playing with the Aurus soft too , i am convinced this rubber is a lot more controllable than the soft version
On a Tibhar Samsonov Alpha blade in 1,9mm both sides it is a loopers dream, blocks exremely well , pushes well , does everything very well.
edit : on a Waldner Senso Carbon : not good for chopping , almost impossible for really short play, long backspin ball is possible , but difficult to play backspin on topspins coming from the opponent.
Is similar to Genius Sound but longer durability and more grippy, but faster.
I think faster than Tenergy 05 ! Very fast rubber.
Very good loopers rubber ,purely for attack play, not for backspin , superb for topspin !!

Excellent rubber for allround game close to the table. The soft sponge helps the push and block. very good spin and top spin.

It is a very good rubber for forehand.I do not think it has very good spin.the spin is just more than average. It is a little overpriced though. the control is the best part.It is very much controllable for forehand shots though not for chops. The speed is good and can be compared with donic coppa jo silver.

The rubber plays quite well but it is not as soft as mentioned by Tibhar. I found that this rubber has a medium to medium soft sponge hardness. Not quite what i was looking for.

The fact that Tibhar said this rubber is soft is not reasonable. I got a chance to play with it, but I found that it has quite a hard topsheet, which I didn't like.

I don't think it's really a soft rubber as it is advertised. It's much harder than I expect. However, I must admit that it's very good rubber- one of the best rubber I've ever played with.

The tires are awesome, very good kontrol in battle, since speed is quite fast but those who love are the spin and the sound you earn! Want to cut off the ball as much as possible to hear the sound. I did not expect that to ever 36.9euro will get so good rubber in such a bevel. The curve of the ball is amazing! Some people compare with tenergy. I do not know if it can be compared However I am generally quite happy and I deserve the money with the above
