As someone alredy wrote, this is typical "DO IT ALL" rubber, that you must like,on medium skills level, advanced....jut so fun and efficient playing with it.
It is spinny, but not so nice for heavy spons, and also for heavy chops, but it will do the job. Pushes, smashes, from table and mid distance just great, fast blocks....alaws you to take over the control in most of the points during match.

A rubber that is for almost intermediate players. All around players will like this rubber, not bad for chopping or spinny topspins. Just not great in one. Blocks arent deadly, neither are flicks. Great rubber for not quite intermediate. Lasts a long time. Overall a 7.5

The aurus rubber on Butterfly Cypress Max (Pen-hold, 10 mm thickness, Hinoki): the top sheet of this rubber is significantly soft compared to other rubbers with 47 degree (etc. rasant turbo, MXP, G-1); It is not a speedy rubber, but spin and control are acceptable.

47.5 max, consistent, fast, high control, good feeling, medium-high angle, good in all shots, good BH rubber, feels one or two degrees softer than G1 or rakza 7 and also a little less turn, less sensitive to the effect of the opponent, but more speed and more control

high throw, medium-hard, decent speed (not a lot of catapult, less than mxp, less than m2), but spinny.

Pretty bad rubber, with even Sriver you can produce more spin.
I cannot recommend it at all!

Over the last three years, whilst using Aurus, I have occasionally tried different rubbers. On each occasion I have gone back to my trusted Aurus. What more can I say!

Great FH rubber. Nice arc and spiny. Not to good for chop, but very good on block and flat hitting. Speed is above average on medium blade. Very good rubber if paired with allwood blade with some flex, as I've tried it for the last three months. Durability is good. I use it three times a week at three hours exercise, and still has the initial characters.

Aurus is that "do it all" rubber. Tested both in FH and BH, and it's good for everything. The sponge is hard, but the topsheet is soft, so you get a sensation of feeling the ball penetrate, and than explode it away, and that's great.

I used to play with it on my bh. This rubber is really good and excellent for topspins. But it is not that fast as compared to jp01 turbo. But I was really satisfied with this rubber but this rubber only lasted for 2-3. But this rubber helped me improving my skills. If u like spinny shots on ur bh then buy it but it will last for a short period of time

Aurus is the rubber for spin oriented players as it does not have that killing speed like other tensors . For service this best rubber because other rubbers might have more spin but with this rubber you can place your serve anywhere short or long, spinny or dead. It feels medium heavy to me. This is best in terms of control block and serve return is really easy. It has high throw angle. Hitting topspin against backspin requires good technique. It is also good away from the table. It has medium soft feel. It is rubber for players who like control more than speed.

It is the best backhand rubber for RPB I've ever played with. Before this I've had a Mark V, Nimbus Soft and Acuda S1 Turbo but this, IMO, beats all of them (only for backhand, Acuda S1 Turbo is the best forehand rubber for me). It works great with hinoki blade/hinoki top ply. Just amazing

Using this rubber on my Backhand with Aurus Soft on FH Blade Timo Boll Spirit. This rubber comes with hard sponge (Than Aurus Soft) and it is also slightly less tacky so I mostly use this rubber for blocking and serving fast serve. The speed is awesome great experience while playing away from the table and this rubber offer a controlled game. This rubber is great for the person who is speed oriented intermediate or advanced player.

Just played with it for one session. Excellence speed, spin and control. Use it as forehand on a Stiga Rosewood NTC VII penhold blade. Tried many rubber for forehand on the Stiga blade from chinese rubber to Butterfly. This is the best so far.

Updates : after almost 1 and half year using Aurus, I would like to update or conclude that Aurus is simply the best, outstanding in terms of :
1) Service - easy to execute spinny serve either short or long
2 ) Service return - with confident as it is insensitive towards the incoming spin
3) Push - easy to execute either short or long
4) Flick - superb damn fast, it will surprise your opponent especially backhand flick or chiquita.
5) Loop / Counter Loop - awesome and fantastic easy to lift up underspin ball, my killing machine especially on my BH (thanks to Kreanga! )
6) Blocking - awesome, effortless... No matter how hard is your opponent hit/drive/loop the ball, it will steadily bounce back into the opponent side, depends on your angle whether you want it sharp / low or high..cool
For me Aurus deserved 9.9 /10 or 5 star rating, totally satisfied...

I switched from this rubber a while ago, and since switching I've been through about 5 or 6 backhand rubbers and none have satisfied as much as Aurus did.

Serves are solid. Good spin, and easy enough to keep them short.

Blocks are great. The throw is medium high but its extremely consistent which is all you can ask from a rubber in order to have quality blocks. Get used the blade angles and you'll be fine.

Counters are great. Fast, very controllable, and again extremely consistent.

Pushes are just fine. It's nice and controllable at slow speeds. It's not horribly jumpy at slow speeds which is nice for touch.

Loops are great. It's a good fast rubber with decent dwell time. This rubber has extremely strong grip especially as you sink the ball deeper into the sponge.

This rubber although I only played it on the backhand I could see just about anyone be able to play this rubber on either side. It is excellent. I highly recommend it. I would be playing it right now but I have greener grass syndrome.

Perfect for an OFF or OFF- player!
I use it in combination with an Andro Temper Tech OFF- blade, 2.1mm, for my forehand and it is absolutely perfect!

i ended choosing aurus as my replacement for donic desto f2 for my backhand. it is faster - even as a 1.9 - and spinnier. I also find it superior in control, spin and speed to rapid.d.tecs 2.0 i have in my forehand - lighter as well in 1.9. great sound, even in the normal version - great feel, with more than enough precision for serves, smashes and spin shots. i find it's a great, exciting rubber and not as expensive as other new generation rubbers.

This rubber is great for playing close to the table. Playing from Mid distance did not work very well at all. VERY spiny serves was the first thing I noticed when i started using this.
I think I will stick with my Xiom Sigma Europe.
The rubber is a bit slow for my liking...
