Good rubber for its price, the trajectory is flat, good for control and spin, the speed is good for chinese rubber. If you wanna learn looping technique this rubber is good choice. Durability is insane its very durable

I have not come across a more spinny rubber than this. Low arc and many gears. I play it on a high throwing Stiga Nostalgic Allround. It is a lovely match. Its a linear rubber. Play slow it is slow. Play hard you get a lot of gears and explosive power. Comparing it to Battle 2 Gold. The Gold is a bit faster and slightly less spinny with a higher arc, a bit easier to play. Serve with this rubber is superb. I win alot of free points on my short underspin serve thanks to the spin I get. You need to put your body into the shots but it will reward you with super spin!
I played the 40 version for 2 years. Before that I played the 39 version also for 2 years. I will briefly explain the biggest differences. The 39 version has everything you want from a modern Chinese rubber. It has a little built in speed, though it is not really bouncy. With booster the rubber becomes at least 50% bouncier and a little bit softer. It is tacky, but I had inconsistencies throughout batches. 2 were very tacky, 1 was moderately tacky and the one I have now is not tacky at all. So it's difficult to say what the average is. The 39 is much easier to play for people of different levels and playing styles. It excels in what most Chinese rubbers do and for the Battle 2 but flat hitting and driving is also decent. The 40 version was more difficult to play because it required more physical power in most strokes and there was less margin for error in countertopspinning. With the 39 version I was almost always confident to play a good topspin on the table but the power was sometimes lacking. For both versions the ball feel is very hard, and it seems the dwell time is not very high either. I would recommend it to people who prefer close to the table attacking and Hurricane 3 for people who mostly play loops
Used on a Yinhe Venus V 14 PRO (2.1mm; 40 deg; unboosted)
This is my first chinese provincial rubber and it's weird. The rubber points out the mistakes you are making, the footwork that you're missing, it's like the rubber is coaching you how to play with it. The break-in takes about 5-7 hours after that point it becomes a counterloop machine, I would say the spin is a bit less than the Hurricane 3 tuned, but if speed is what you are looking for, it's perfect.
I am still testing this out, so an update is sure to follow.

i'm penholder with RPB. i use short pips on forehand side. many people said this rubber is the best for forehand. but for me, this rubber is more suitable on my RPB side.
hitting the ball is feels slow compared to european rubber. but for looping and spin, this is the rubber you must have

One of the best fh rubbers I've tried. IMO top3-5 fh rubbers and top 3 chinese rubbers. Probably H3N National BS and H3N Prov BS and maybe B2 National is better but did not played with it yet.
To put it simply if your technique is good this rubber is a beast after 2-3 layers of haifu booster. The sheer amount of speed transferred from well executed whip like fh motion is astonishing.(If you posses the power and means to transfer it to the ball with good technique.). Spin is tremendous really hard to block especially when the arc is low like it usually is with a fh loop u play with this rubber. Short game is amazing ball goes where you want it to go. To serve well with high amount of spin your brushing technique have to be quite good but when it it the spins are amazing.

Very good rubber, I was using this rubber on yinhe v14 pro on 40 degree. Very good looping rubber from mid table. Far from table is really good. Requires more strength than usual when looping. This rubber does not need to be boosted, I don't recommend you to boost this rubber. You can just use it straight from the box. Feels better to play than any of the hurricane rubber, spin is a bit more than dhs hurricane neo 3 provincial, but the national hurricane is way spinner. You get more speed from this rubber but with the sacrifice of some spin. Very good rubber to play, This rubber is very similar to the battle2 national blue sponge version. If I were to be blindfolded and tested, I would not know which one is national or provincial. I suggest you go for 40 degree if you are planning to buy this. Best rubber for the money. I tried dhs hurricane neo 3, dhs hurricane neo 3 provincial, dhs hurricane neo 3 national, but did not like any of it due to its durability.
39 hardness Battle II Provincial Blue sponge, on a new (2023) Mercury Y-13 (Off) blade (Forehand). I have the 38 (orange sponge) on my backhand. No booster on either.----------- This rubber has a very wide dynamic range. When you want to play slow, it's slow, controlled and well behaved, like a training rubber or a 729 Super FX. If you need to defend, you can, with great control. Adding power feels extremely linear, and you can balance spin with power by adjusting your angles. What makes this rubber so nice to play with is how consistent and predictable the throw angle at any power level. I also found no loss in power with flat hits and it plays mid to far from the table fine. I could confidently recommend this rubber to almost anyone (just not beginners). I am very pleased.
------------------------ UPDATE: One of my colleagues loved this bat so much that he purchased it from me. However, in the weeks following this review, I enjoyed every single hit with this combination more and more. The Y13 blade was quite well suited to the B2PBS, having decent speed but not too hard, keeping some dwell time. You could pair this with a faster blade, so long as some dwell time is maintained. From there, this rubber will do the rest...
------------------------ UPDATE 2: If anyone is interested, I ended up buying a somewhat crazy setup with Battle 3 (39, black), on a T11S to dry out B3 and to push the limit of a harder blade. It's actually a lot of fun and plays very well. As expected, the T11S has less dwell time, making a direct comparison more difficult, but from what I can tell, B3 is honestly very similar to B2PBS. I'll submit a full review on the B3 page with more detail.

This rubber is different from H3. It is faster than H3, but suffers from a slightly unusually low arc. Not super comfortable to use, but not too hard to adjust to either. It is very tacky, and the dwell time and catch of the rubber is excellent. You can really grab the ball very well and launch it powerfully. If you are a strong looper, you should love this rubber. It produces a really strong kick off the table.
729 Battle 2 provincial, hardness 40, blue sponge, it's the best rubber I've ever played, 2 layers of glue on the blade and 2 layers of glue on the rubber, no booster, fast, very smooth, excellent control, very satisfied ! Best value for money! Worth trying...
I am a chinese traditional penholder. I used to play with hurricane 3 and skyline 2, but battle II is my new favourite. Top spin is easy, block is easy, spin I can control it however I like, serve is as deadly as skyline 2, and it is easy to break in. With hurricane 3 or skyline 2, I feel they are pretty slow when unboosted, but battle II is not. Battle II is not as spinny as Skyline 2, however it is faster and retain its tackiness longer. Definitely a rubber worth its pennies.
I've used this on different two blades. Firstly, 729 Blue ACL this combination is very good at speed and spin when do a forehand topspin. However, I've some trouble with the weight and handle of this blade. So, it's hard to make the perfect forehand topspin but, if I can do it. It's very difficult for a component to break it because of tons of spin generated.
Secondly, I have used this rubber with DHS hurricane Fang Bo B2X. It's very very good combination. I can generate a lot of serve backspin or sidespin. The heavy forehand topspin is very easy to do.

This is a better Hurricane 3, I use 40d on Sanwei 75 pbo. I tried on Innerforce alc but wasn't very good.Very spinny and stable, has a medium throw angle. The speed is not super fast, Equal to Hurricane 3 B.S. Overall just better than commercial or provincial Hurricane. a good tacky rubber for chinese style!
I used rubber in 2.15mm, 40 hardness on DHS Fang Bo B2X Blade. Rubber is great for powerful looping on fh, control is great, when it needs to be slow on low energy shoots it is, when it needs to be fast and spiny on high power strokes it is. Durability is the best out of any rubber I have ever seen, I've been playing with it for about a year and the top sheet is almost new! It can be used unboosted but I prefer 2 layers of Haifu booster on it, I've even tried Baby Oil but then the rubber lost power and became too soft. Compared to H3 Neo it feels softer. Overall it's closer to hybrid rubbers than Chinese Hurricane rubbers. If you can hit hard it will reward you but the arc isn't as linear compared to other traditional Chinese rubbers.
Play this rubber on FH for 2 months & I can tell it's one of the best FH chinese rubber when boosted. Monstrous speed & spin if your techniques good enough to use 100% body power to your strokes, topspin. Plus it gives an exciting & loud crack sound. Serves are very spinny, short game's good, backspin strokes/smash easy to execute. Excellent rubber for $25.
The best alternative to a boosted Provincial/National Hurricane 3... I have tried several rubbers over the last year, looking for the best alternative to a boosted hurricane (Hurricane 8-80, Yasaka shining dragon, Victas triple double extra, yasaka rakza z, dignics 09c) and this is the best one for me. It just checks all the boxes: the quality is great (doesnt oxidize, stickiness lasts a long time, and the topsheet is elastic); it is fast (not as fast the victas triple double extra but still pretty fast) and I dont think it requires boosting; it almost as spinny as a hurricane; has a linear trajectory and low throw angle like the provincial and national hurricanes; has great control because it feels elastic and not too hard and dead like an unboosted hurricane; its lighter than hurricanes; it has a lot of gears and paired with a innercarbon blade it is great in the short game. I dont understand why friendship rubbers are so underated compared to dhs.. they are just better in quality, dont suffer from the oxidation problem and last longer. I tried this rubber on a viscaria and now i am using it with the new xiom tmxi and they match perfectly.
My forehand rubber is 729 Battle 2 Provincial Blue Sponge 39 degrees unboosted, it is tacky but not as tacky compared to Hurricane 3 and/or Sanwei Target series. The spin I can generate on this is tremendous as my playing partner can't block it from time to time. Control and speed are also really good as I can do third-ball attacks effortlessly even though I didn't position myself well. A really awesome rubber.
I played with 39 H3 Neo long ago and bought 39 Yinhe Big Dipper to replace H3.. BD's throw is high, it's bouncy and not too tacky, maybe because it's a hybrid rubber so it has an ESN rubber characteristic, it's a good rubber but it just didn't suit me well, I'm struggle with BD, then I bought 39 Battle II Pro to replace BD, the weight is little bit heavy I guess.. I'm surprised with 729 Battle II Pro, it makes me happy even in first stroke.. Glued to DHS PG5 in FH and paired with Palio AK47 Red in BH, 39 is harder than H3 Neo with a same number, I think it's around 53 in ESN rubber & 40 in DHS hardness scale.. It has a medium low throw, very tacky, more spin and more speed than a H3 Neo, serve is spinny, feel and control is very good, dwell time is controllable, you can lift a heavy backspin easily and ball will fly with a low trajectory, and touch game is superb.. Speed is slow when you hit slow and fast when you hit hard.. but remember, this chinese traditional rubber is not for a flat hitter.. This mean it's hard to smash a ball.. But when you attack with top spin & loop, this rubber will be a nightmare for your opponents.. The ball fly with a low trajectory, fast, spinny and jump even lower when it touch a table.. It's sensitive to an incoming spin due to it's tackiness and you should do a proper stroke technique with no hesitation whenever you want to hit the ball.. This rubber is hard to tame, but once you get used to it, you'll love this $24 rubber even more than H3/H3 Neo Commercial.. If you're a player with a chinese style, just try this out..
My Primary Forehand Rubber, I went from 40 degrees to 39 degrees. So far I really enjoy 39 degrees. The tacky rubber comes factory boosted it seems like due to the warping. This rubber is pretty powerful but does not have the extreme catapult like European rubbers. I went from the regular Battle 2 to this, and have not looked back. The regular Battle 2 was great for training when unboosted, it forced me to learn how to swing Chinese-style rubber. I would definitely recommend this rubber, but try out the different degrees, it made a world of difference for me.
I am surprised. Forehand Rubber. I come from DHS Hurricane 8, but lack of speed that i needed harder sponge then i changed into Battle 2 Normal version for some months. It was fast and u can read my review there, but i want to feel the upgraded version of this rubber, since i see many chinese top players use blue sponge. Battle 2 has tremendous speed if u have full stroke and the spin is amazing, my spin ball usually fall not in the end of the table, but due to this higher arc than normal version, my spin fall into the end of the table. Better quality spin. This version has the dwell time as much as normal version. But the blue sponge has more elastic sponge that can bounce the ball even it is not bouncy. Here, the conclusion is it is very fast when u hit hard, but still slow when u hit slow. but it is easier to generate spin than normal version. Tackiness has big role. The control is still high but a lil lower than normal versiom due to its more flexible sponge. And 10 for this rubbers. Comaparation between this and normal Battle 2.
Speed, B2 BS > B2 OS.
Spin, B2 BS > B2 OS.
Control, B2 BS < B2 OS.
Serve, B2 BS > B2 OS.
Speed, B2 BS > B2 OS.
Spin, B2 BS > B2 OS.

Great rubber! Better than my commercial Hurricanes 3 Neos. Comparing both at 39 degrees, Battle is harder, equal speed and gives more spin than H3N. Actually I started to think H3N is too soft for my BH. I use a Nittaku Hurricane Turbo Blue in BH in another setup and it is perfect. Maybe H3N in 40 degrees fits better. But this review is about F-Ship Battle II Provincial blue-sponged. I like it a lot, has become my main FH rubber. Dont know how the normal sponge behaves so I can not compare but this BS version is excellent. Rubber is hard, even at 39 degrees and 2.1mm, gives good speed and tremendous amount of spin. What I liked most in this rubber is the topsheet does not become blurred as quick as H3N, it keeps the shining topsheet for a long time just cleaning with cotton ball and water. That keeps the tacky feature for longer time. For opening topspins Battle gives a low trajectory with huge spin and low bounce. I won a lot of points I didnt win before just because of the low bounce. As other chinese type rubber it does not accept flat hits. the stroke must have spin to be a quality stroke. Price is acceptable, much lower than Provincial Hurricanes. I matched this rubber better with ALC blades, right now using it in a Timo Boll ALC. Didnt go well in ZLC blades, it became hard as a brick with low feeling. I will but another and recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality tacky rubber with a reasonable price. If you are used with commercial H3 Neo try this one and might have a nice surprise.
(40 degrees version) I've used this on several different blades just to see how it behaves, and it's absolutely fantastic. Compared to the 40 degree National Blue Sponge H3 Neo, this rubber is faster, has the same amount of spin, feels a bit harder, has more control, and has the same straight throw angle. It is simply fantastic and I love it!
I did not tune this rubber. It is fast. And has a lot of control and spin. It has many gears. I prefer the service with H3 Neo but this rubber is awesome on topspins and is more tacky than Hurricane 3. The angle is medium low. Difficult of return.
Game features Friendship 729 Battle 2 with blue sponge
We applied 3 layers of Falco Tempo Long booster to both rubbers.
Serves
Service with Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge is very good, it has a high rotation. Short service is very comfortable to play.
Short game
Short game is very good thanks to hard sponge and sticky top sheet.
Loop
The starting loop has a high spin, a lot of the first topspin was played by the opponent behind the table. Loop has a low flight curve.
Serve receives
Thanks to a hard sponge and sticky top sheet, Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge has a very good short serve receives.
Block
Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge has a high quality block with great control. The block is fast, but the block can be played comfortably or short when your opponent is away from the table.
Topspin to topspin
Counter Spin is the biggest weapon of Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge, it is fast with high rotation, the ball has accelerated reflection and tenddencies to fall down. It is very difficult for an opponent to defend or counter it.
Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge is suitable for playing near and from the middle of the table. It's a rubber for players with a good, quick hand swing.
The hardness of the sponge 40 will certainly suit the aggressive offensive concept of the game closer to the table.
Surprisingly, the hardness of the sponge 38 is manageable with excellent speed.
Both Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge hardness combined with the DHS Hurricane 301 blade is an excellent choice.

I had a session with this rubber on a Sword Blue Feather blade. This rubber has become my new FH rubber. The speed is faster than the normal Battle 2 47 degree (old package). The blue sponge that I have is 39 degree DHS scale. Overall, it has a lot more speed than a normal H3 Neo sponge.
In terms of tackiness, it is tack enough to pick up a ball for a second when new. But once it is broken in, the tack will wear out a bit and this is where it starts playing better. Yes, you may not have the tack, but it spins very well. In my first session at club night, I get a lots of "cheap" points from serves and mini spiny opening loops. My opponent is completely surprised by how spiny the balls are.
Since I have played with the normal Battle 2 47 degree old scale, I will do a quick comparison:
Spin: B2 regular = B2 Provincial blue sponge
Speed: B2 Provincial blue sponge > B2 regular
Serve: B2 Provincial blue sponge > B2 regular ( because you can serve long serve easier, for short spiny serve, it's about the same)
Over table short game: B2 PBS = B2 regular
Over table flip: B2 PBS > B2 regular (flipping over the table is slightly easier with the PBS version)
Mid distance rally: B2 PBS > B2 regular (This is where the real advantage comes in with PBS, the mid distance and long distance shots are a lot easier with the PBS version.)
Overall, I like the PBS version better than regular because it gives a bit more "ohm" if this is a word (LOL). Also, the sponge is more elastic for the same hardness. So this is similar to the blue sponge from DHS vs regular orange sponge.
I will have to play it longer to see the durability test. May update this review after a while.
