I am a middle of the road kind of guy, I appreciate high quality devices, but understand that I am not a professional competitive player, so I am not willing to pay the most premium price. Not withstanding this, I would expect any mid-range model, of any device, to be a fair value, but this machine was not, the first part broke in 2 months without any abuse, then within another 3 months, the 2nd part broke, before the 12 month mark, the electrical had now gone bad. After that, I put the brakes on the gravy train. I did enjoy the flight it produced for the little time it was working, more realistic than my IPONG machine, which is still going strong after 2 years, but at twice the price, the math simply just got ridiculous. IMO, if you are selling a fragile device, you should not be asking above average market prices.

I am very pleased with the product, especially with the newly lowered price purchased via megaspin.. I suggest to place it on a stool behind your table, and have your machine shooting balls at a slight incline, this way you have more realistic trajectory.

As stated by others. The underspin capability is useless. It is so strong that it is impossible to develop a stroke that can be used in real game situations battling the 1040's underspin. The topspin is okay, but you would be better to save your money and buy a two wheel machine rather than the single that is in the 1040.

if i had the choice of the 2040 or the 1040 i would chose the 1040 personnaly i would chopse this because the feauteres are the same as the 2040 however there are a few that they are noyt however this is easy to overcome this is a veryh good robot whitch is worth its money.

I own the 2040 haven't had any problems out of it. I'll probably have to replace the ball spin wheel because of the wear i put on it. You don't need a manual to operate but it will give you much more ways to use the robot then i thought just by play out of the box. I love this machine and look forward to the new 2050 thats coming out soon to upgrade to.

It's a pretty good robot. At this price you get what you pay for. It's useful for foot work and general drills.

It's quite OK.

I agreed ppgear's comment.

Machine cannot produce no spin balls.

I brought this machine for exercise purposes. For only $400, it is a OK machine.

It's a decent machine, but is quite limited. Since there's only 1 spin wheel, the spin is always proportional to the speed, so little speed and little spin, or high speed and high spin. Also, for underspin balls, to make it go far, the underspin will be so strong that it's unrealistically hard to lift. The proportion of spin is heavier than what's expected in normal games.

It's a decent machine, but anyone in the 1800+ USATT rating probably needs a higher model for more features. It's best feature is probably just the oscillation for footwork drills.

If you can't afford a $1000+ robot then this is still a good deal.
