I used to play with a Chinese rubber (sanwei target national, a very good rubber btw) as FH rubber. It is quite as tacky, but less heavy. When you are used to Chinese rubber, you need to engage full gas. With this rubber, you can play the same way, but also safer with shorter strokes when you lack of time (with Chinese rubber, playing with less energy often results in making a dead ball). It therefore helped me modify my technique (making less ample strokes) and thus gained a lot of consistency. It is more for giving than Chinese rubber, yet you need to play with a clean technique.Quite hard rubber means easy on blocks.
I don't recommend on backhand (too hard). In FH, I would recommend only to players with a good technique, physical engagement and liking top spin the ball a lot (player playing with short, fast strokes or below average top spin should consider something else)

UPDATE! When I read the reviews back then (early 2025!), I had to shake my head!!! - because in my opinion, the truth lay somewhere in between. This rubber is definitely not (too) slow. ... boosting is absolutely unnecessary!!! This rubber is actually quite controlled by nature. However, if it's used passively (- or the racket angle is incorrectly "set"!), the balls fly in all directions!!! The maximum speed of this rubber (at 2 mm) is easier to reach than with my then-favorite rubber, the Dig. 09c (1,9 mm). - but ultimately, it's not higher, just comparable. (... with less effort!!!)
As far as spin potential is concerned, the EL 52, in my opinion, delivers even more rotation than a Dig. 09c. - above all, you need significantly less arm movement!!!
Facts: the sticky top rubber can hold the ball for a few seconds! My two black EL 52 weigh 50 and 51 g respectively (at 156 x 150 mm). The hardness level (as you might guess ;-P) is 52. I tested it (in direct comparison with the Dig.09c) on a Huieson ZLC (outer carbon, Z. JK. copy) and on my Sanwei 75 inner ALC. (Both are OFF blades!) I achieved better performance on the Sanwei blade. CONCLUSION: If spin sensitivity isn't a concern and you're using a sufficiently fast blade, you can get by with a 2mm thick sponge. Otherwise, the Max version should definitely be sufficient. - without needing to boost!

Good rubber. Defnitely slower than some other hybrid like K3, D09c (can't try the superselect version) etc but with more control and more spin oriented and the arc is more pronounced. Need to engage a lot if you want to create high speed with this rubber but its possible, a fast/rigid blade could help it.
It is a very good rubber, without a booster it needs approximately 3 weeks for the foam to expand and be more flexible and faster. The serves have a lot of spin, the topspin is very good, the blocking has very good control, on the table it is excellent. In short, I really liked it for my game, it also serves as a BH rubber although I use it in FH.
This rubber is pretty much unplayable on a decent level if not boosted!
I got this rubber because I wanted to get a tacky fast tensor to help me with serve returns. This is not a tensor rubber. I though this rubber is tensor because Lev Katsman uses it, and his style is far away from the table. He must be boosting the crap out of it, or plays with different rubber. It is very very slow. The ball bounces twice and stops.
This is basically a slightly less tackier version of H3, with a slightly different throw angle. VERY tacky, which I like. VERY slow. I have a few Viscarias, and I put Codexx 52 on Viscaria. I normally play with D05 on Viscaria, and when I started looping, my training partner said that it feels spinny, but because it is slow, vs D05 he doesn't have to work as hard to block my shots, doesn't feel that he has to worry about ball going off the table. Tried it on the BH, same thing. Very difficult to miss, but super slow.
I play in a tournament in a few weeks, so don't want to mess with the new rubber, but after the tournament I will try to boost it and test it again. Will keep you posted if I do that.
Overall, I am not saying this is a bad rubber. Just not what I expected at all.

For me this is the best rubber I've ever used. Every time I try to use other rubber now I always go back to Codexx. It has excellent control while giving very good speed. Touch game on receive and serve is a notch above other rubbers and the spin is obviously excellent. The topsheet is sticky and maintains its tack long term. The rubber lasts a long time and is still performing. I am using this on my FH but just ordered it for my backhand as well. If you are looking for a good hybrid rubber look no further. I used to use T05 and now I can't go back because I can just do more with this rubber.
2.0 rated. This was a surprise, and so good i bought 1 directly after second training!
Been testing all the Hybrids for 2 months now, i love them. My favorite, Nittaku Sieger PK 50. Compared to Rakza Z, which i also liked, the lifespan is twice so long for Sieger, spin is better, and it is faster.
But Sieger will be second, (i think) when i test Tibhar Hybrid 3, that many in germanys league use already, so i go for 2.0, 2.3 is way to much for me. i think. By the way, a thick Tibhar Hybrid K1 Europe also good. Stiga Genesis 2 not so good. Tested about15 of these now, and its very funny
