Good for backhand. IMO not really a forehand rubber. But still good quality and long lasting.

For me, it's a Do-it all Backhand rubber. But its real strength is the control. I played with the "R" series, and the R42 was great but very bouncy and quite high throw angle. The V42 has almost the same features in general, but is really better at blocking thanks to lower bounciness and throw angle compared to the "R".

currently i am playing with this rubber in forehand and (joola rhymz-p) in backhand and with (joola nature tpu) blade and i think for this combo is super super fast!
it cost me around 2weeks to be able to controll this killer rubber!

It plays very similar to Victas VJ07 Stiff, hardness is the same, but spin and speed are different, Victas is faster and has more spin, touch game are quite the same due to the hardness. If you are targeting to buy this rubber, i sugest you to try Victas VJ07 Stiff.

super rubber .. i am using with DHS pg7 blade. Previously i was having Mark V and hurricane 3 on Pg7. So i can say it pretty faster than Mark V. AND i have Aurus prime and 5Q rubber on Samsonov Pro black blade, but Andro rasant V42 feels faster with pg7 than 5Q on Samsonov blade. This rating i have given by comparing to mark V

Very very fast. I am not good enough to control it, but it would be very powerful in the right hands!

Using 2.0mm on backhand on a Yasaka Sweden Extra blade. Very good for launching top spin attacks. Able to generate plenty of spin on serves. Excellent control and feeling. Very consistent. Good also for pushing and in defence. Good close to table and further away. Plenty fast enough to finish points. Super backhand rubber.

The rubber Adam Bobrow (in 2019) chooses to use on both wings. I tried it on my Nittaku Acoustic and Andro Wanokiwami AO OFF. Spin similar to Vega Europe with a very slightly lower throw angle, but V42 is faster and with a thicker sponge. Lifting heavy backspin I'd prefer higher throw, but if you're after a lower/medium throw angle, decent control, med/soft sponge with good speed, then it's a solid choice. Possibly plays a bit like Hexer+ but with a thicker sponge and thinner top sheet - more zing. However it's been a few years since I've used Hexer+, and on a different blade... I agree with 'Alvinspin' review about it being enjoyable for smashes, and any form of well struck top spin counters, ideally above the table as there isn't much in the way of net clearance for below table loops. Top sheet is of very high quality and likely harder than say a Hexer+ top sheet, so durability shouldn't be an issue, while sponge seems solid enough for it's duro of 42 degrees.

Excellent BH rubber ! Used on an OFF- blade. I used the Max 2.3 and found it easy to keep the ball on the table and was able with the right stroke to generate good power and speed on those shots. Lifting Back Spin was easy and serves had plenty of spin.

It is a rubber very easy to use, with a lot of control but with a very good speed and spin. I use them in forehand as well as in backhand with an XIOM VEGA PRO (blade). A marvel of control, excellent blocks almost look like rubber does all the work. To play near the table the speed is spectacular. For a novice who uses most table tennis strokes just like me, I would recommend it without a doubt.

Tried it cause I saw Adam Bobrow using it for looping. This rubber is kinda soft yet fast. Amazing loops and back hand spin. A must try from the Rasanter Series.

The V42 and R42 are almost similar rubbers and with just a few differences. Both have the same softness even if topsheet is considered together with the sponge. Basically, both rubbers are medium soft. Both are very bouncy and fast and I would put the speed as faster than a Xiom Vega Europe. In a way, the R42 is a notch spinnier than the XVE. This is best suited for the backhand (both V42 and R42). Intermediate players can use for some time to further develop their strokes and skills. Both rubbers are at low to medium height in arc when looping. Best strokes for this rubbers are either smashing or blocking. V42 = 64 grams uncut; R42 = 66grams uncut
