R 48 is one of the best rubber for looping, Slap Shot and Flip. I tried on few blades TSP Hino Power, Waldner Legend Carbon, Xiom Zetro Quad and all were good to go.
I still do not know why everyone say it is hard rubber, it is a bit harder than Xiom Vega Europe. I love it. I do not know what is the weight?

I moved to an all wooden blade using MX-S but it lacked the power and spin that I was used to so I switched to Andro R48.

This rubber is a counter attack monster. The speed is far faster than MX-S, no where near the 8.9 rating on this site. At first, I was a little disappointed, I wanted more spin and got way more power instead.
Once I got used to it, it has many gears, touching short is a breeze but when you counter attack, the ball absolutely flies!
When playing off the table, the ball can fall short if I do not properly engage the rubber so good technique is recommended.

Looking forward to playing with it in the coming season.

My most favorite on forehand with Max. Superb control with a pleasant punch to it. Great dwell time with a soft-ish feel for 48 degrees produces outstanding grip and spin. I like it better than Dignics 09C or Rakza Z on forehand. I'm using it on an Andro Treiber CI OFF, which has an inner carbon layer. More control and plenty of power compared to a Viscaria. Dignics 09C 2.1 on backhand. This is going to be my combo for a long, long time.

I have been playing with this rubber for 6Months . IMO this is the worst Rasanter. It is very inconsistent. My hard loops goes to the net and my soft slow loops goes out. Very confusing to play with. The soft rubber does not fit well with the 48degree sponge at all. You need to hit the ball with full force every single time for consistency. R53 is more consistent. ATM im going back to R47

I am a begginer and I felt like tenergy 05 was a little to much for me, but damn this rubbers feels amazing in every department. The only good thing which is not perfect is lifting heavy backspin. Truly amazing rubber!!! Highly recomanded.

The R48 Ultra Max is a rubber that offers a softer feel than the 05 and MXP rubbers, and it's slower than both. However, it offers better spin . I personally use this rubber on my backhand, I found it to be too soft for my forehand. I tested it on both the Viscaria and Yasaka Sweden Extra blades,

interestingly, I found that the R48 Ultra Max performed even better on Yasaka blade, providing great feeling and control. However, the sponge on this rubber is quite thick at 2.3mm, so it's important to hit through the ball and let it sink fully into the rubber to avoid slow spinny shots that hit the net . This rubber may not be recommended for beginners or low-intermediate players, as it requires a strong hit with good tachnque to use properly.

First, a little about me. I'm a senior player with a USATT rating of about 1500+ and have been playing since the early 80's. I prefer and am currently playing with inverted on both sides of my racket. Also, I am a two-winged spinner and hitter. My philosophy is spin everything you can. I play reasonably close to the table and only play away from the table when I'm forced to.

I put the Ultramax version of this rubber on a Donic Epox Power Allround balde. I also bought a sheet of the Andro Rasanter R45 Energy Cell Ultramax and put it on the backhand side so I could compare the two rubbers on the same blade.

Results: Well...I was quite surprised. The spin is absolutely fantastic! Control is ideal so pushes, open ups and serves are handled easily. Lots of punch to the rubber as well making smashes and drives a breeze. Looping is awesome putting many of my shots completely out of reach or going under someone's racket from the spin. I also found the high throw angle to suddenly bring the ball down onto the table when I thought it was going to be long even further surprising my opponent.

Final thoughts: With the Donic blade I could have easily used the R48 on both sides. Yes the R45 gives a little more control on the backhand side but the difference between these two rubbers just isn't that much. Both spin great! Also, the 48 degrees plays more like a medium to medium hard sponge hardness and not at all like the hard sponged Chinese rubbers that I've used in the recent past. I think once you get above 48 degrees you best have some really good stroke technique particularly if you plan to put the rubber on a blade with some kind of composite composition.

Give this rubber a try. Use Ultramax sponge without any fears. You'll be quite surprised!

previously I used fastarc c1 rubber on my xiom offensive s on the backhand, then I replaced it with a rasanter r48, everything really changed, very spinning spin, very good speed and control.. really like this rubber, very perfect product, good job Andro ?

Great at everything from loop, block, serve and short game. great spin when engaging the sponge, around the net shots are quite easy to do.
only downside for me is that i prefer rubbers with more grip, so you can do more shots without engaging the sponge, i enjoy the option of just brushing the ball and doing some unusual shots with lots of spin but now very fast, just to clarify it is possible to do this with this rubber but its not the best in that aspect.
Anyways i can strongly recommend for those who plays offensive topspin with blocks :)

Realy like this rubber. Ive always thought that Andros rubbers was a little bit overrated (not much but a little) regarding spin, comparing with Tenergy or Rakza. I dont know, but for me, the topsheet on R48 feels different than R42 and R47. R48 has moore grip and generates more spin in my opinion. Spin is hard to overrate on this rubber. Dosnt has the kick as Tenergy its more like Dignics. Use it on backhand in 1.7 mm because i like a bit moore control. Compared whit the R47 I had earlier this feels like it was 2.0. The R48 feels, though its faster, a little bit softer than R47. Today i play whit Stigas DNA M in 1.9 mm on forehand. Like that rubber too but even If i like softer rubber on forehand, in the future, i might swich to R48 there too. I think 1,7 will be enough for me even in forehand. . . . . .

I have done a 180. Now i play with DNA on backhand and R48 in 2 mm on forehand. It suits me perfect. R48 is the best forehand rubber i have ever tried. I understand that high level players might prefer R53 but just love R48. (And R48 DO have a kick which is nicer than Tenergy 05)

Fast and spinny rubber with a high throw. I didn't like the high throw on my Viscaria so I tried it on a Hurricane Long 5. It was magical. The quality of my backhand shots improved significantly!

I tested the R48 several sessions on my robot. So I will update the review when I can play against a teammate.
My ratings are in comparison of my review of R47. The hardness is quite the same. I don't feel softer than the 48. But, it grab the ball really better than the R47. So you feel a longer dwell time. That's the trick with this one! You can impart huge amount of spin. I've never play with tacky chinese rubber, but the R48 is phenomenon! It's less direct in play than R47, I tend to topspin instead of hitting. For me that's the main difference between those 2. Control and speed are quite identical. The throw angle maybe just a little higher, but not much. I can see players with R48 in FH and R47 in BH. Again, it was on robot training, I'm looking forward playing in club with this rubber!!!

My rubber from TT11 was hardly tacky, nor grippy. Almost no grip at all. Bought a DHS Goldarc 5 that had like 8.5 in grippiness, and R48 had 4.75, Donic Bluegrip C2 was 9.8. Very weird. Still good to play, but the review is from my friend who wass lucky to get a grippy one! Wrong at factory?

So I went from the R47 and R50 to this new R48. I figured if I like the other two with more speed and same degree of softness it would be even better. Wrong! This rubber has good spin, high arc and control but just no speed. I have to work harder to get it to the same speed and penetration as the R47. It doesn't seem to have the same spring as a the other two. Therefore with the same stroke my shots come up short and high and become easy kills for the opponent. However, on the flip side. For soft spinny shots close to the table it has excellent control. But mid to far distance this falls flat. When the rally starts and I have to back off the table I have to really hit it hard to stay in the rally.

I juse andro flaxinite as blade and rasanter 48 on my forhand. I have tried dhs hurricane neo , and stiga manta medium hard and some more. When I used rananter 48 for the first time I was surprised that the ball went so far. I had to adjust the racket angle quite a bit. When that problem was over a had to say.. I really don't want to change, ever. I couldn't think it's possible to create a better forhand rubber.

Best Rasant/Rasanter so far! 58 degrees, feels like 47! Insane spin. Shortplay good, service. Looping round the net a few times every training. Hard, aggresive loops just above the net make it difficult for the opponents. Recommended highly!
