Its a good rubber, produces ton of spin, has great control, its just slow. You COULD play off the table but you have to put some real "umph" into it.I glued it to a joola rosskopf smash(as an experiment), and the rubber is very heavy, it felt nice, but it was top heavy, so i added some sand into the handle, really balanced out the weight. I would recommend this rubber if you are learning the game, or maybe if you have a fast blade to go with this.

for me its a great rubber with high control and the impotant thing is it`s cheap.
this is a low throw , tacky rubber, with a very soft sponge. you won't get spin if you brush. And no power on forehand. it is also very slow.
729 Higher is excellent (BH) rubber. It is very spiny and controlled rubber for players that seek for spin variation and prefer winning by placement and control rather overpowering opponents with power loops.
8.2/10 for OFF style. FH: Yasaka Rising Dragon, 2mm, 49g (0.241g/cm^2), 47 degrees (ESN), 37 degrees (Shore A). BH: Friendship/729 Higher, 2.15mm, 47g (0.23g/cm^2), 42 degrees (729), 32.5 degrees (Shore A). Blade: Butterfly Balsa Carbo X5, 80g, 158mm x 150mm x 6.8mm (Width x Height x Thickness). Plies: 5 (3 Wood + 2 Composite): Basswood - Carbon - Balsa - Carbon - Basswood.

Medium sponge hardness with rather compact, yet responsive tacky topsheet results in a (for me) great BH rubber. Easy on short game, good Control when blocking, can create massive spin when Looping. I recommend it a lot if you want to improve your BH strokes.

Friendship/729 Higher is very nice BH rubber. Sponge hardness is H42 degrees chinese scale. This rubber is extremely spiny and has excellent control in all types of shots. Keep this in mind, it is very good ALL round rubber that can be used by both offensive and defensive players. It lasts a very long time comparing to Butterfly Tenergy rubber. Usually, Tenergy 05 dies after 40-50 hours of intensive use on my BH, but 729 Higher lasts around 250 hours. If you consider performance, spin, control, durability and price Friendship/729 Higher is obsolete a winner for me. I highly recommend this rubber to competitive player!
I think this is a good training rubber, but I like the general sponge much better for training or beginner. The one arguement in favor of higher I can see is; if you plan to end up using springy sponge later on, this sponge has a little more spring in it (If that helps anything). But, it "binds up" your stroke more if you are trying to learn a stroke in my opinion.
For a tournament winning sponge as a beginner, maybe this would be good also, but I wonder if it is too low performance with too little control for that. To me, it is not enough more than general sponge in performance to merit using it. If you want more performance a bigger step than this rubber might be better.

i tried the higher and have to say its quite spinney but the speed is a bit slow maybe if combined with off blade would be faster.
This is the best 729 rubber that I have used. At first, I was disappointed as it was so tacky when new. Actually, you can pick the ball from the floor by using the rubber's tackiness. Then after playing with it for a few days, the tackiness decreased but enough to create an exceptional spin. I glued it on my T11 blade which was a very good combination to generate speed & ball control. After that, my top spins, loops, chops, serves & ball placements drastically improved. It help me gain my confidence back during match plays.
EDIT:after one month playing with this rubber...Im gonna replace it.I tried so much to learn to play with this but its difficult for me.At the first place, I didnt beat a friend even one time since im playing with Higher and before i put it on fourhand we were prety close players.Now,Im lossing from him a lot.
Rubber is strange.It has medium low throw angle.Block with this ruber is pure.You must to hit hard and well balanced and conntroled to hit the table. Somethimes grip ball more somethimes less...I dont know....Maybe i can,t handle it, but its for sure that the rubber is tricky to play. Deffence with this (block) its waist of time.

My review is based on compared this rubber with Joola Energy Xtra and Tenergy 64,playing for about 2 hours with this rubber,at forhend on my Kong Linghui Euro blade,glued with New glue although this is rubber for speed glue.
Speed-About 30-35% less then Xtra and Tnrgy so i Rated it 7.

After trying Cream Transcned, Focus 1, Focus 3 Snipe, Sriver, Sriver EL....this one is my current choice of rubber for aggressive attacks. Because it is tacky, quick and extremely spinny I had trouble adjusting my swings in the beginning. Not a very forgicing rubber, meaning you have to have good techniques. But out of all my other rubbers, this one allows me to serve with excellent spin (tacky), initiate third ball attack (very good at looping) and offers enough speed well into the fifth ball (mid-distance counter looping).

It is not very fast, but you just need to use a fast blade to compensate that. Ideal to play close to the table. Not to good to play away from the table.

The 729 higher is more of a recreational rubber than a rubber for the serious table tennis player, but it will definitely work for some people, especially if you are on a budget limit. It is pretty cheap, i have seen then sold pretty much under 10 dollars, it is a pretty decent rubber, but do not expect anything out of it like sriver, magna, hammond, mark v, etc. and other better offensive rubbers. Actually a lot of blockers seem to use this rubber, because it is kind of a offensive rubber, except with kind of a dead sponge, so it is great for blocking placed tricky shots. It is pretty hard to loop good loops with it though.
A very good rubber for serve and over the table techniques. Timing and fitness plays a huge role when looping away from table.

A bit faster than higher III. 2.2 sponge seems a little more thin compared to the 2.2 version of Higher III. Transcend version seems a few grams lighter compared with the same thickness Jap sponge.

Tried it on two blades (slow and fast) and there is problem with consistency. From time to time ball will fly the way it shouldn't. One sheet became totally useless really fast, another sheet still holds.
