Yasaka Rakza Z Extra Hard
I have a friend, my main practice partner, which is probably the biggest fan of this rubber. He used to pay J-pen, then turned to shakehand grip and even tried chinese penhold for a while, but now is playing J-pen again. But there was something that never changed during all his experiences: RZEH was always there, as his backhand rubber in shakehand and Cpen styles, and now as his J-pen rubber. According to him, RZEH is the rubber that most allows a very closed angle hit with no slippering. Durability is also second to none, with proper care this rubber can last 18 months. And topsheet surface is super resistant to crack, he hit the table many times and the topsheet remained intact. But there are cons, and lack of catapult effect might be one f you like a Tenergy-like behavior. Another concern is about the topsheet shining surface, it disappears very quick and becomes blurry. About performance, it requires a fast and strong swing to produce a fast ball, but when properly hit the ball goes loaded with spin and extremely dangerous. It means you must have good physical condition to play with it, no lazy stroke is accept with RZEH. It is definately not for me, although it lasts a long time, which I like. But I do not like the lack of catapult, I prefer a more user friendly rubber such as Dignics 05. And I do not like at all the blurry topsheet after 3 weeks, this is unacceeptable for me.
