This is a great rubber. It is an amazing all around rubber which can do anything. It has a medium throw angle and sponge hardness, with many gears along with a great blend of speed, spin and control.
This rubber is for beginners who are upgrading from a pre-made bat. This is comparable to Sriver, but is softer and a little bit spinier. Generally, you pair an all wood blade with Yasaka Mark V and Sriver, with Yasaka Mark V being on the fh because it has more spin so you can get a lot of spin on your serves and loops, and then Sriver on the bh since it's not as spinny. It's easier to counterhit, block and return serves like the pendulum serve.
This is also an intermediate standard rubber for modern attacking players, and is usually used on the bh. It won't be nearly as sensitive to spin as tensor rubbers for returning serves, and can do really anything so it's great for intermediate level players to keep developing their game.
At the pro level, this isn't used really at all. This is because although it isn't as sensitive to spin, top level players know how to return serves so were just compromising on speed and spin. Now, a lot of people argue that this was used by Ma Lin but god damn, this dude has hit millions of balls and has amazing technique. Give him a pre-made bat and you'll still see ghost serves. Joking aside, this can be used for higher level players if you're a very forehand-orientated players who just wants a rubber that can safely return serves and put the ball back on the table.
Is this rubber amazingly fast? No.
Is this rubber amazingly spinny? No.
Is this rubber anything revolutionary? No.
But it does its job and can do anything you ask of it. With a great blend of speed, spin and control, this is a great pick for beginner/intermediate level players and even higher level players if they want a safer rubber that can still offer great performance. A timeless best-seller rubber used by champions and beginners alike. Overall, a 9/10.
