This is my absolute favorite rubber of all time. I can't imagine discovering a rubber that fits my style of play better than this one. Xiom has gained one more loyal fan and customer by producing the Xiom Vega Europe rubber for my ever so horrible backhand. Now my backhand isn't a weakness! Since first impressions always matter, I've got to say that this is one sexy looking rubber. It has a black sponge and with either the black or red rubber, it will look just classy. This rubber produces a very nice topspin with a very good arc that rarely hits the net or misses the table. It is also excellent for blocking though I tend to have some problems when chopping but that may be my technique, anyway, I don't chop much so it isn't a problem for me. Its control is out of this world. I think this is the closest thing to a self-playing rubb!

You just place the paddle wherever the ball is going, adjust your angle, adjust your shot power/speed accordingly, adjust your wrist movement (is any) and the ball will simply hit the other side of the table. Say no more. One of the very few negative thing I have to say about this rubber is that it tends to attract plenty of dust but that may be it's only con (for me, of course). I am currently using it on a kind of slow blade but it produces great speed nonetheless. Amazing allaround rubber most suitable for the backhand. Very good! Did I mention it is my favorite rubber? Only way I'll change it is if Xiom makes a newer version of the Vega Europe that includes a black sponge. How cool would that be? Oh wait. It already has a black sponge! Gee! It's the perfect backhand rubber!
