I played a whole season now with this blade, and XIOM did cook something amazing with this blade!
it plays like best wooden blades when you need good touch, good feeling and control, when you are playing short game or need that precise gentle feeling. but when you are at mid-distance from the table, looping, the TMX layer helps you. it gives you just the right amount of power and stability, but still with great feeling and great control. so, if you want an extension of your arm, this is the blade.
at least to me, it is not rubber sensitive as I played well with 37.5 ESN rubbers (Rakza 7 Soft) to 55 ESN rubbers (O7CG, C55) ...
this blade really pairs well with hybrid rubbers. C55 on FH and Vega Pro Hybrid on BH - that's it. get this combo and thank me later. I was back in my 20's when I was still a semi-pro, confident with openers, confident with counter-topspins, blocking - this is really a players blade combo. it really makes you enjoy table tennis. played a couple of tournaments with this combination and it was really a pleasue, even if I lost, I could play good game and always left the table with smile on my face.
as C55 is quite expensive and durability is not really the best, other option is also to put Vega Pro H on both sides or you can opt for Donic BlueGrip S1 on BH. also works like a charm.
bottom line - this is a great, controlled, topspin machine, which brings a smile on your face every time you play.
